Hampton Inn & Suites Ankeny

Lexi the GM is incredibly rude and no business working in the hospitality field. She completely ruined my entire experience with Hilton hotels. Instead of trying to help solve my problems and use costumer service skills, she became condensing and disrespectful. She has no business working in this type of setting. I will never stay here due to having such a terrible interaction with the manager.

We ALWAYS stay here on our 2 day trek from Minnesota to Kansas, everything is great.

The front desk staff was very accommodating, and I think they deserve to be recognized for going above and beyond with communicating with me and taking care of me during the stay.

I thought the room smelled musty, but I just stopped, dropped my bags in the room and left. When I received a text from the front desk clerk, I told her about the room. She opened a window for me.

The breakfast all 4 days tasted like it was a week old. The front desk was friendly for the most part until asked for something or a question then it was a unfriendly encounter. Room was clean for most part. Did find small beds and other items on the floor was accompanied with a visit from my family during the stay so was stressful having little ones running around floor. Pool is freezing. Even heard other guest say it was a sobering feeling entering it. Overall was not a welcoming experience.

Loved the breakfast options, there was vanilla and birthday cake waffle mix, cheese omelettes, bacon, hash browns, and the usual items. Our room was much more comfortable and spacious than I was expecting. This was a great deal for the price. Will definitely consider this place again when travelling.

Our only complaint was the coffee was not very good, and we’re not really picky with that.

This place was in an area with no retail so restaurants and other places were further down the highway . Not much here but a gas station . Quiet however. Staff were friendly and prices reasonable. The breakfast area was clean and inviting but nothing appealing . No half and half for coffee- all fake creamers . No butter - all margarine products- disgusting. Milk in container was spoiled . First time I ever failed to find something in a hotel to eat . Probably wouldn’t stay here again if I have other choices but as I said it was very clean and staff were friendly.
