Very cosy, quiet and comfy

Secret peaceful location. Calm decor and very comfortable bedrooms. Great bathrooms and high standard of cleanliness.Locals come for the food which is imaginative and in a league above standard pub fare.

Loved it all really. Only comment is you choose a breakfast option from the menu as there is no buffet and you can't just have a slice of toast or fruit and yogurt if you aren't hungry.

Conveniently located outside of Darlington, with a pleasant outlook. It was great to have our own apartment, which was really well appointed, with good facilities. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was an ideal place for us to stop on route from Yorkshire to Northumberland.

Room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was great, the shower in particular. Breakfast was fantastic.

Beautifully furnished hotel with super comfy beds and amazing food - the breakfast was fantastic quality and definitely the best we've had (menu choice is excellent and portion sizes generous). The courtyard garden to the rear is really well done - a tranquil space with stunning water feature. We enjoyed breakfast on the front patio in the sunshine, really peaceful listening to birdsong. Lovely welcoming staff who take great pride in their work. The level of cleanliness was exceptional.

Could have had better coffee facilities in room and only one bottle of water was replaced after guest night

Breakfast was lovely, we looked forward to it after our evening meal with you (steak night) which was recommended by colleagues who have stayed with you before. Your staff were very helpful too. It also looks like a very pretty place to stay and walk from when not working, I think I will come back for that at some other point

A little noisy/busy on steak night, but good you're popular and thriving not just surviving in this current climate
