Payment Information: Please note that the Charterhouse does not accept American Express or Diners Club cards. The swimming pool is open from 31 May - 31 August weather permitting. Check-In Information: The Charterhouse does not have 24-hour reception facilities, so please provide an estimated time of arrival when booking. Check-in is usually before 18:00. No arrivals after 22:00 are accepted. Please note that the hotel does not accept cats. Pets can only be accommodated in the Small Double Room with Patio and Large Family Room (2 adults + 2 children) with Garden View, and cannot enter the main house. Please inform the property prior to arrival if your are traveling with a pet. Please note that guests who book 'room with breakfast' rates can choose from a variety of breakfast options including Continental, Full English and Vegetarian.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian. A deposit may be required at the property.

"Had an amazing time in Torquay."

Beautiful guest house. The rooms and lovely and well looked after. The beds are very comfy. Lisa and Christoph do look after you. Breakfast is just right.

"Great location, would come again."

Lovely hosts, great communication (they agreed to receive a letter for us), delicious breakfast (with homemade jams), nice pool, great location close to the promenade.

Bathroom could use a refurbishment soon.

Perfect location for beach

The guest house was a bit dated the rooms were basic but clean , it wasn’t on the same level as a hotel as no bar facility

Best hotel we have ever stayed in. After reading reviews on other local hotels I couldn’t believe our luck that The Charterhouse had a space when we wanted. It is everything everyone else says! Comfy welcoming and simply the best! Thank you so much

Breakfast was very good and varied. Areas to sit and unwind along with a small swimming pool which was great at the end of a day out. The hotel was near the promenade in a nice quiet residential area.

Lots of steps and incline from the car park which we were unaware of and as we our seventies we struggled with our cases.We also found it tiring at the end of the day.
