Eype's Mouth Country Hotel

Abbie and her team were exceptional so friendly and helpful,food was excellent. One snag was the room was a bit small but we were only staying the one night so perfectly adequate all in all a great experience.

Meal size quite small. Came down at recommended quiet time for breakfast and a long wait (they would be better off booking times) then some was burnt.

Breakfast was excellent.

The room could have been better, the curtains were not hung properly, the whole place was looking very tired but the staff were very good.

Room was great and views were amazing/staff friendly and food was excellent

Location quite dangerous to access and could of done with a few more cleaning around outside

Dinner was very nice with a great choice and quite reasoable I had a lovely homemade chicken curry with rice chutney and poppadum

The dining room at breakfast was a little dark where the food was being served. However my dining table was in a sunny window!

We booked Eype's Mouth Country Hotel as a last-minute alternative after arriving at another property booked through Booking.com that was completely uninhabitable. Despite our late arrival, the kitchen had already closed, but the staff and chef went above and beyond by staying later to make sure we could have dinner. That level of service was incredibly appreciated after such a stressful start to our trip. The food was exceptional, and we enjoyed breakfast there every morning during our stay. Every member of staff was friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful, always willing to go the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. We were also offered an upgrade to a sea view room at a discounted rate, which was a lovely touch. When we arrived in the room, there were little cakes waiting for us, which immediately made us feel welcome. The room itself was spotless, with plenty of storage space including a wardrobe and dressing table, as well as tea and coffee facilities. The shower was excellent, and the bed was one of the most comfortable we've slept in. We had the best night's sleep of our entire trip. We genuinely couldn't fault our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended.
