The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. We had a slight issue with our room and they kindly sorted it out straight away with a room upgrade. Breakfast was good, with lots of choice.

The hotel needs some TLC, a bit shabby in places. Overall we had a lovely stay.

Staff were all lovely and really cared that you were happy. The location is superb....quiet, perfect for walking the coast path and close to other places of interest. Breakfast was very good, a selection of buffet and hot food from the menu. And service to your table. Lovely view from the breakfast room. Plenty of hot tea! My room looked very pretty when I walked in, a hand written note from the management welcoming me and 2 pieces of cake neatly presented in a glass domed tray....very nicely done. And tasted really good too!

We booked to eat in The Admirals restaurant as i had seen good reviews. However, as we would have been the only guests eating in that restaurant, we ate in the other more informal bar restaurant. The food was sadly not great. We both chose the cod and it was dry and overcooked, really not presented very well either. We did not complain but the waitress when she asked us how the meal was , we said 'fine', and she knew we weren't happy. With that, she returned with another plate of cod, this piece, a much better piece of fish altogether, and presented in a more appetising way. The staff went out of their way to try to rectify things and make you happy. The rooms, although comfortable, all need a little attention too......but despite this, we had a lovely 2 days here.
