Lovely stay and Tina so kind and friendly.

Tina was lovely and made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. There was a good choice of food for breakfast and my room was clean and spacious. There was space in the hotel's drive for 3 cars, and also permit/disc parking on all the nearby streets (the hotel supplied the discs for guests). I had booked onto a 2-day art workshop at the North Yorks Art School and the location of the hotel was perfect for accessing the workshop on foot. If I do another workshop I'll definitely book into Powys Lodge again.

The breakfast choice was excellent, from full English to lighter cereal and yogurt options. Our room was bright, clean and well appointed. The new lounge area of the junior suite is very nicely laid out and a lovely space to enjoy an hour or so with a book and glass of wine!

From the moment we arrived and were then welcomed by the owner Tina we were instantly impressed with this guest house. The period property is absolutely beautiful, very well looked after and spotlessly clean. Our room was simply perfect, comfortable bed, hot shower with a spacious en suite and complete with everything you could possibly need. Breakfast was an array of many options you pre ordered for a set time serving, which worked great. All food options were of excellent fresh farm quality and were absolutely beautiful. Drinks were all of good quality and plentiful. Although we have stayed in many guest houses in the UK this was our first visit to Scarborough and it certainly won’t be the last visit to the area and Powys. Most definitely the best guest house we have ever stayed in. Thankyou for everything Tina and family
