The Buttery

The location was fantastic and extremely cheap for the area. Clean bedding.

The room was clean but very tired. The bathroom has seen better days. The room we booked said it was over looking road street but our view was just the back of the building and bins etc. We only stayed one night but if we had stayed longer we may have asked to swap rooms. Just needs a little TLC as the building is lovely.

Das Bett war in Ordnung.

Wir mussten steile Treppen hochsteigen und das Zummer war für uns ein Schock. Völlig überstellt, kaputtes Fenster, im Bad war das Lavabo defekt, das Wasser ist nicht abgelaufen, dauerte viele Minuten, bis man das Lavabo wieder benutzen konnte. Dusche viele Kalkflecken und Fliesen im Bad voll Flecken.

Great location, close to all the beautiful old buildings. About a 15 minute walk from the train station with luggage. Room was spacious and had a small fridge and kettle with tea and coffee supplies. Portable air conditioner in the room was nice for sleeping on a warm night.

Mattresses were springy and not very comfortable.

Location. Spacious room and bathroom, with a ledge above the sink for toiletries.

The futon mattress was a bit on the hard side, but I would have slept fine if it weren’t for people talking under my window from at least 1am to 2am. Hotel had no dining room, so no breakfast, and no parking.

The location was perfect! Right smack in the heart of Oxford. Easy walk to the all the sights. Many lovely shops nearby and lots of restaurants. The weather was very hot, record breaking heat. The rooms all had air con and refrigerators, which was amazing. The view from our room was lovely. See picture.

Be prepared to climb stairs, but honestly they are very clear about that on the website.

The location was spot on.. It felt safe for a solo female traveler. The staff were very helpful. Like many others said, be ears of the stairs - it's a winding staircase with narrow stairs. The staff welcome requests for help so don't hesitate.
