Really helpful and friendly staff, a lovely clean room in a nice central location

I didn’t realise the room I booked was at the very top of the building having stayed here before I was aware of the stairs but this was a bit of a climb

The small door and narrow staircase led me to an unexpectedly spacious bright and beautiful room. Though I arrived quite early, the hosts were so kind to accommodate me immediately, and that was truly appreciatable after a long-haul flight followed by the morning journey from busy Heathrow. The coffee and croissants from the cafe next door were absolutely great every single day I stayed at The Buttery.

Location was great, staff friendly

Noisy, slamming doors, seemed surface clean, but bathroom smelled mouldy, carpet stained. More like a hostel.
