Trenderway Farm

The accommodation was superb and very clean, staff were fantastic, breakfast was again superb a great choice to be had and the weather was lovely, what more could you want, absolutely fantastic, thank you Trenderway Farm.

The weather was unseasonably cold with a gusty northerly wind, so I was pleased to find that the heating was on and we were very cosy in our room. It was comfortable with everything we needed and plentiful hot water in the bathroom. Having the little kitchenette hidden behind cupboard doors was very useful. We didn't use the combination microwave but if we had, we probably would have appreciated a manual to help us. We had a comprehensive choice of cooked breakfasts as well as a cold buffet and I was pleased that they were able to supply gluten free sausages and bread for me. The staff were attentive, efficient and friendly and made us feel like we mattered. It was blissfully quiet in our room and when we went for breakfast, other guests we talked to all said how pleased they were to have found such a great place to stay. There are lots of places to visit in the surrounding area, but you do need a car. We were very happy to see several car charging stations. They seemed expensive, but when we looked around, all the other charge points in the area were even more expensive, so it was worth charging here - and so convenient. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

Location is great, the farm and room is beautiful

The location was beautiful - so peaceful and in the heart of the countryside. I stayed in Courtyard cottage, which was spacious and comfortable.

Everything was perfect

Everything was amazing so clean & cosy from the time we got there staff so attentive especially the cream tea touch on arrival and all the lovely wash things, flannels make up remover cloths incredible attention to detail even the fridge had a lovely selection of apple juice & milk honestly the bed was the most comfortable I’d ever been in on a little break incredible place so tranquil we loved it. The shower was another incredible factor everything was just top notch.

Nothing

This old farm is integrated in a beautiful classic agricultural landscape with meadows, a pond, trees and other elements. The owner has taken over the farm and is now trying in all ways possible to make it financially work: as a guest you are part of this effort. They do 10 - 25 wedding venue’s as well and have a lot of apple tree’s to tend to. Breakfast was served in an old stable building that now also serves as a library. The collection and choice of books was great.

Service was minimalistic, where they f.e ask you if you want your room done. The old farmhouse seems to be left in the state as it was bought. It makes you feel like you are on a visit to an old aunt or distant family-member in their deserted farmhouse. If this is a good feeling is up to the visitor to decide. It includes the cracks, not closing doors, random array of furniture and an occasional spider or bug.

Lovely place and welcoming host.. dog loved running in the meadow field !..very peaceful and lovely breakfast served.. great base for a stay room cosy and very clean.. 10/10

No negatives . Just an observation.. Would maybe benefit a plug point under dressing table for hairdryer etc tho... no other comments

The room was just the job, plenty of space, comfy beds, lovely shower/toilet facilities - Janeen and the staff we met were just so pleasant, cheery and accommodating. Nice touches like the scones, cream and jam. Lovely breakfast, both cooked and cerial/fruit/continental. Would definitely recommend to friends and family, and if the opportunity comes up again - I/we would return/book again.
