Die Unterkunft überzeugt durch großen Charme und den Komfort der Zimmer; perfekt für eine Übernachtung auf der Durchreise oder auch in die Gegend für einen Kurztrip zu entdecken. Es ist ein kleiner Familienbetrieb, der viel Wert auf Gastfreundlichkeit legt. Der Besitzer wartete persönlich auf uns, nachdem unser Flug erst nach den Öffnungszeiten der Rezeption am lokalen Flughafen Teesside ankam, und stellte sicher, dass wir auch noch frische Milch für die Tasse Tee haben. Das Gartenareal mit Bänken und Spielen scheint ideal für den Sommer zu sein.

Der Frühstücksraum könnte etwas sauberer sein. Da es sich jedoch um einen Pub handelt, ist das verständlich.

Very disappointing. Spoke to reception staff to cancel my booking and was told this was fine as I was within cancellation period. have since been charged and hotel have not responded to any attempts at contact

My (single) room was lovely with modern decor and a large shower room. Special mention goes to the bed, duvet and pillows which were sooo comfortable, I've taken a photo of the make of the pillow! The bedside lamp didn't work but I reported this the following day. Good to have a proper hairdryer with a plug socket near the mirror. I took advantage of the lunch deal which runs through to 5pm which was great value. There was a choice of buffet and cooked breakfast. They have a large car park.

The communal areas were a little dated but didn't detract from my stay. The hotel has taken measures to deter the pigeons but I had a particularly determined bunch who serenaded me in the early hours, even perching on the fake owl. I'd still stay again though!

I had the best stay ever at this hotel. It was very quiet, peaceful, and relaxing throughout my visit. The host, Katie, was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. She made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and I would definitely come back again!

Nothing all good

Historic building with lovely features, warm and friendly atmosphere, friendly staff. Special teas, coffee bags, biscuits in the room and good quality toiletries.Great breakfast choice included in price and we ate at the restaurant which was also excellent. The area around is green, leafy and quiet,, free parking also a bonus. A real gem and a place we will return to.

Stayed here for work as it was a good deal including breakfast, ample parking in a small car park at the hotel, really friendly and helpful staff, big rooms, comfy beds and good food would definitely stay again

Only 2 things...firstly I'm nitpicking but there should be milk in the hotel rooms so you can make a coffee/tea without having it ask reception for milk in the the room but it's minor....and also just in general in think hotels nowadays should have decent sized smart TVs in the room especially as the rooms are nice and big, it would take my 8 score to 10 rather than it being a small TV and no smart functions
