Wydon Farm Bed and Breakfast

It was amazing to stay on the farm so peaceful quiet tranquil the views were stunning the b&b was so charming , the breakfast was amazing it was perfect for us chill after my ultra marathon , we defo be back ,

Being on a working farm But at same time spotless

There was nothing to dislike

Hartelijke ontvangst op ietwat afgelegen actieve schapenboerderij (kijk vooraf goed na -bv. op Google Earth - hoe je er kan geraken, in ruil krijg je rust en instant vakantiegevoel). Mooie gastenkamers met hoge zoldering, voor- én achterdeur, ruime badkamer en kitchenette (koffie/thee - magnetron - koelkast met vriesvakje...) - Bij de gastvrouw en gastheer thuis, aan de overkant van de 3 gastenkamers krijg je gevarieerd ontbijt met extra keuze uit verschillende eierbereidingen. Overdekte en afsluitbare fietsenstalling. Pas bij vertrek zagen we in de infomap dat je rondleiding kon krijgen op de schapenboerderij zelf (daarvoor hadden we geen tijd meer). Schitterende omgeving, op fietsafstand van verschillende resten van Hadrianus' Wall (mits flinke klimmetjes en voorzichtig fietsen op soms smalle wegen) - De muur volgen kan niet op de fiets, daarvoor trek je je wandelschoenen aan - Naast de drukkere regio van Hadrianus Wall heb je de heerlijke bossen en weilanden van Northumberland waar het fietsen iets meer ontspannen verloopt - Centrum The Sill is een aanrader met info over het landschap en lunchmogelijkheid -

Vreemd genoeg is er geen wasbak om je afwas te doen en gebruikten we de wastafel in de badkamer... maar afwassen gebeurt door de gastvrouw zelf bij dagelijkse 'roomcleaning' hoorden we daags nadien.

We were walking Hadrian's Wall during the week and didn't know what time we would be arriving. Linda was very helpful with advance info and even though we arrived at 10pm she still came out to greet us and bring some ice for the wine! Rooms were well kitted out. Lucky enough to have the one with the jacuzzi bath! Breakfast in the morning was amazing with a great choice. Linda was cooking and advised one of our party didn't need to rush out in the morning (which was very welcome!).

The location is a bit tricky if doing Hadrian's Wall but not if you have a car anyway! There's a very long driveway from the road but I'm not sure how accessible it is if you're on foot. But ask and give yourself the opportunity to stay in a great B&B!

This place was PERFECT in every way! So comfortable and clean and Linda was the BEST host. The quiet farm was exactly what we wanted to enjoy this beautiful area. The little kitchenette in the room was so nice....we were tired of eating out and so we bought some microwave meals from the grocery store and ate it at the picnic table outside our room in the gorgeous evening light. Having that door there to open on that cute little courtyard was actually one of my favorite things! And the breakfast that Linda prepared was beyond amazing! Biggest regret was not booking more nights to stay! We will definitely be coming back.

We loved the peaceful location near Hadrian's Wall, the comfortable, pretty room with thoughtful touches like spaces for luggage, the great breakfasts, and our helpful and efficient hostess.

The bathroom is actually a shower room, so there was really no storage space for toiletries. The sink was tiny and awkward.

This is a lovely place to stay. Modern, clean, secluded, welcoming and an excellent breakfast. Top notch. Would definitely stay here again.
