Elms of Camden

Where to start...we so loved this B & B! The location, the room, the breakfast, the coffee, the outdoor dining, the BREAKFAST (yes, I meant to type that one twice!) but our favorite part was meeting James and Gary. Seriously, we've traveled to a lot of B & B's all over the country and James and Gary are top notch hosts!!! From the warm greeting James gave us to the wonderful breakfast Gary would create, they are both creating an awesome experience for all of their guests. We stayed 3 nights here and we were sorry to leave, but we had reservations in Bar Harbor. The location is great, easy to walk into town for shopping, meals, cruises. Safe to walk at night and well lit sidewalks. Camden is a great town and we are so glad we stayed here. We would totally go back!

Great location and hosts

Our 2 night stay was absolutely wonderful! The B and B was beautiful and very welcoming. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Our breakfast was delicious both mornings, especially the bread pudding. I would highly recommend staying here!

It was a locally-owned bed and breakfast. We were treated like first class guests from the moment they opened the door for us when we arrived to the ease of checkout. We didn't even need to ring the door bell. We were greeted by the owner and the cook. I would highly recommend The Elms of Cambdon if you want a very nice relaxing getaway.

The property is exceptional! We returned this year for our vacation in Maine. The town of Camden has captured our hearts, particularly the Elms of Camden. Gary and James are incredibly welcoming and accommodating, providing outstanding customer service. The breakfast is delightful. It's a short walk to Camden's downtown harbor, which boasts fantastic restaurants and shops. With abundant hiking opportunities nearby, there are countless reasons to visit Camden, and the Elms of Camden is the definitive place to stay. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

We were able to check in two hours early, a big plus. The room and bed were very comfortable, and as it was a B and B, the breakfast was healthy ( Gary’s interpretation) and really excellent. Both Gary and James were great hosts. The location on Elm Street was within walking distance of the downtown Camden shops and restaurants.

Characterful. Easy walk to the centre of Camden, which was well worth visiting. Gary is both entertaining and helpful. Together with James (quieter but equally attentive) they made the perfect hosts.

Quite steep stairs to first floor bedrooms-To be expected in an old property.

It was the best! Our little cottage was immaculate and the Elms is easily within walking distance to downtown! Gary and James gave us excellent recommendations for dinner. The breakfast was excellent and wonderfully presented! Our only regret is that we only stayed one night!

Lovely inn within walking distance to the shops, restaurants and harbor in Camden. The homemade breakfast each morning was delicious. Gary & James were the best hosts that offered great dinner suggestions and information on nearby activities. Following their advice we were able to get a reservation at Long Grain and also had a great dinner at Cafe Louis. Gary also had a great suggestion of where we could park and put in our kayaks at Megunticook Lake. We will definitely return for another visit to this charming inn.
