Need hooks for towels on the back of the bathroom door

The hotel was lovely and the food excellent. Staff were so polite and accommodating. The only thing is , we stayed in one of the down stairs rooms to the left of the the property and our room smelt very damp. All the furnishings were lovely but the overwhelming smell of damp would make me rethink about staying in that particular room again. It may have been from the large open fireplace but not sure . Wasn’t going to mention it but felt it was something that needs addressing.

Nothing.. It was perfect

We’ve been to this hotel on numerous occasions and have never had any problems with it everything you need is at hand the rooms are clean and tidy the food is excellent the bar service is good. The area is very rural but it adds to the experience. Staff are always pleasant and friendly.

Nothing not to like

Clean room. Quiet village location. Owner pleasant when seen on Tuesday morning.

Twin bedrooms small. No reception on arrival. No food or bar on Monday night. Breakfast was good but fried eggs were burnt.

Food is good although limited menu if you are vegetarian. Breakfast was plenty choice with cereal, fruit juice etc.

Bedroom was adequate although they did not replenish the tea/coffee or water for 2nd night and we had to buy toilet tissue as only provided 1 roll for 2 nights. Heavy wardrobe mirror door came off hinge and hit my husband in the head! he repaired it...........the door that is, not his head........... shame it did not knock some sense into him!

We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff. The Rams Head Inn has a very friendly atmosphere in the bar/restaurant and Nico is an excellent chef. The mussels and scallops were superb as was everything we ate during our stay. The location in Dolton was perfect for day trips to North Devon (Bideford), North Cornwall (Bude) and by train to Exeter and Torbay and it was very relaxing after a day out to come back and eat in the bar/restaurant. Many thanks to Nico and his team. We will definitely be coming back!

Room was rather smelly but we have that trouble at home too with sawage system works

We stayed one night at the Rams Head. Had a superb dinner and breakfast. The staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again and recommend it
