"Perfect location"

Would highly recommend staying here if you are planning at trip to Curacao. It is located right in the heart of the city and is close to everything that you want and need. The staff were polite and helpful. There is a car rental agency across the street so you can go adventuring. The man made beach was quiet and calm. We spent more tome there than we thought because the other beaches were packed with people and I have no desire to pay to go to a beach, get a chair, etc.. There are loads of restaurants located nearby as it is an easy walk to Punda and Otrabanda. The hotel itself isn’t super fancy but our room was spacious and comfortable. I would definitely go back.

"GREAT ALL-INCLUSIVE Resort without breaking the bank!"

We had a fantastic stay at the Wind Creek Resort in Curacao! We spent five nights and six days at the resort with another couple, looking for an all-inclusive experience in one of our favorite Caribbean islands. The hotel is very updated, modern and clean. The rooms are spacious with comfortable memory foam beds. We paid about $3,000 for an ocean-view balcony room, which overlooked the cruise ship piers. It was so nice to come out in the morning and at night to look at the cruise ships and the tropical background! I would say the view made us really feel like we were on vacation! We were looking forward to some great food, which we got to enjoy daily! With the all-inclusive package, we got to enjoy food/drinks at one of three restaurants on property and got to choose from several restaurants within walking distance of the resort (which we got a $100 voucher for). We ate most of our meals at the main dining room within the hotel, which was laid out with modern amenities, A/C and a friendly staff. The food was amazing! Starting with the breakfast buffet with a friendly omelet station chef and the fresh smoothie lady, who always had a smile! We loved the mini pumpkin pancakes, the hash browns and of course, the bacon! My wife loved the morning parfait, which she ordered from the friendly wait staff. When we finished breakfast, we went up to the man-made beach/pool area to grab a shady spot under a straw hut. Since we were four people, we had to get up to grab seats early or else face having no shady spots. Our bar waiters were Tyriq and Emerson, who couldn't be nicer guys. They were constantly checking on us and providing drinks, even waving to us while we were in the water to see if we were ok. We appreciated their customer service the most and tipped them big for it! The drinks are not top shelf liquor, which was fine for us. We mostly had buckets of beer, pina coladas, sodas and strawberry daiquiris. Lunch was mostly at the infinity bar by the pool, where Emerson and Tyriq would serve us our shrimp and beef skewers, fries and burgers. All the food was excellent, except the burgers, which didn't taste like real beef for some reason, so we didn't order it again. Instead, we opted for wings, which were very good! By dinner, we went back to the main restaurant where the menu was basically the same, but we tried a different dish from the menu each night. There, we were greeted by another Tariq and Stephen, who were our servers on different nights. Both Tariq and Stephen were always very nice and greeted us like old friends. We loved being served by them! Some evenings, because we had the all-inclusive package, we sampled some of the tasty dishes at the dinner buffet. The flavors were amazing and helped bridge the gap while we waited for our other dinner to arrive. We highly recommend you try the local fish that is served on the buffet and the menu (red snapper, salmon. etc) We tried the pizza as an appetizer and it was actually very good for island pizza! We wanted the crust to be a bit crunchier, so we had them cook it well done, but it ended up burning the cheese on top, so that was not very good, but overall, the pizza was a good appetizer! One evening, we tried the seafood restaurant at the old fort next door to the resort. Our wives made the reservation at the front desk for that restaurant, but due to a communication error, they did not get the vouchers we were supposed to use at the restaurant as part of our all-inclusive package. We had a good meal with a great view at the seafood restaurant, but at the end of the meal, the waiter asked for our vouchers that we didn't have. We had called the resort, who offered to bring the vouchers to us at the restaurant, but we opted to send one person back to the front desk to get the vouchers. You would think this would just be an electronic transaction with a QR code or something - NO - the front desk had to HAND WRITE EIGHT PAPER $25 vouchers for us! INSANE! Why not write ONE voucher for $100 per room? This was one of the craziest things for me all week - also, because this nice lady at the front desk had to write these vouchers out and then I had to go back to the restaurant with these stupid coupons/vouchers! We spoke to a manager later in the week about this and he said they were working on that issue. The meal cost each couple about $170, so we had to put in $70 cash/charge and added a nice 20% tip for good service. The housekeeping staff were all very nice and responded to our needs as they came up. Everyone smiled and said good morning all over the resort. The casino was clean and well organized all week. We played slots, roulette and Caribbean Poker. We spent hours down there each night and walked away having a good time, even though we didn't get rich! I think the casino manager needs to know that having more than six or seven machines down (off) was a big turn off on a busy holiday weekend. Every machine needs to be on and working well - especially for a casino resort! As for excursions, we recommend booking BlueFinn Charters for the Klein Curacao (all day) trip. Excellent service, fantastic BBQ lunch and pickup at the resort. They also offer a West Side of the Island snorkeling/BBQ trip, which we want to try next time as well. We took the Sunset Cruise from IRIE TOURS - which was recommended by the resort excursion person on the second floor. I forget her name, but she was very helpful and patient with us as we chose our tours! At the end of the trip, we took photos with all our favorite servers, who were like family by the end of the week! We can't wait to book this resort again and plan to invite more couples to join us!

O hotel é bastante grande, então é obvio que seria preciso uma recepção para atender o numero de pessoas. A chegada de uma viagem internacional é sempre cansativa e o check-In deve ser rápido. Tiveram problema com o fornecimento de agua quente por 2, 3 dias. Os valores da alimentação no restaurante não são compatíveis, muito elevados. Isso deveria ser revisto.

El personal del hotel es super amable, siempre intenta comunicarse contigo en tu idioma nativo. Siempre buscan ayudarte y guiarte en todas tus dudas. La piscina estaba limpia, la playa infinita era agradable, un poco fría el agua pero bien. Los cocteles y bebidas eran frías y el butfeet fue bueno. La habitación es amplia, cómoda y limpia.

En general, todo cumplió con las expectativas. Como sugerencia, podrían incluir más actividades de baile o espacios tipo discoteca para parejas, dentro del plan todo incluido.

"Wonderful Trip to Curaçao!"

This review of the Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao Resort and Curaçao itself is long overdue especially since we have nothing but good things to say about our trip in Nov 2025. The resort facilities and amenities were great and the snorkeling and Willemstad fun and interesting. We had really good dinners at Maira’s Kitchen and Bodega Siete Gotas. By far, the best part of our trip were the lovely people at the resort. Thalia greeted us at the front desk and became our friend and nanny. She provided us with details of the hotel, island and the City of Willemstad. It was fun to see her enthusiasm when we talked about Curacaos’ recent qualification into the 2026 World Cup. Recognizing us as old ,frazzled travelers she hooked us up with Angelo at the bar who concocted an elixir that launched us into laid back Island mode. In the meantime, Roland, another friendly person, took care of our baggage and shared his World Cup thoughts and recounted the Island’s celebrations. We were a little concerned about the lack of a beach at The Renaissance but those doubts were quelled by the infinity pool and beach like environment. Great ocean view, salt water pool with a sandy bottom, sand beach and an abundance of available lounges and fresh water showers ….no seaweed or unexpected sea creatures were encountered in the warm pool. Our package included breakfast and every morning Martina would make us the best omelets with a smile and friendly conversation. Sjarvenska and Seigreda were always nearby to chat, refill coffees and make life easy. Talk about service…We met Zara at the front desk and mentioned that we hadn’t been able to find any Curaçao soccer jerseys for our grandkids. She said that tomorrow was her day off and she would look for jerseys and also ask her sister to look. We realized that the friendliness was genuine but told her that her offer was way too above and beyond. Several days later as we were checking out she called out to us by our names and asked if we had found the jerseys for our grandkids . Wow! Recommend the snorkeling, especially the areas with turtles….pretty cool . Willemstad was nice for wandering. In addition to shops, a moving bridge and Murals we enjoyed the Christmas lights and pageantry. Francisco at Advance Car Rental was a very nice guy and the entire rental process was incredibly efficient. Good Luck on the World Cup Stage Curaçao!!!

"A vacation to remember"

Our five-day stay at the Renaissance Resort became a truly unforgettable experience, and what stands out most is the extraordinary level of hospitality we received from the staff. While our stay did not begin exactly as we had hoped, the team’s warmth, professionalism, and genuine care completely transformed our experience and made my husband’s birthday celebration feel incredibly special. Within the first 24 hours, we were disappointed enough that I had even contacted my travel agent to explore switching resorts. However, Manager Juillain McDonald was absolutely instrumental in turning everything around. She was receptive, compassionate, and sincerely interested in hearing our concerns. Rather than offering surface-level responses, she listened, took immediate action, and quickly contacted the appropriate team members to address the issues. Her responsiveness, leadership, and commitment to guest satisfaction made a lasting impression on us and truly changed the course of our stay. A very special and heartfelt thank you goes to Manager Angelique Knight, who was phenomenal in every sense. She was instrumental in curating the perfect ambience and atmosphere for my husband’s birthday dinner by the sea. Every detail felt intentional, elegant, and beautifully executed. She created a setting that felt intimate, romantic, and truly unforgettable. Her thoughtfulness and ability to make us feel celebrated and cared for elevated the entire experience. Angelique was not only exceptional in her service, but also in her leadership and grace, and we are deeply grateful for the love and attention she poured into making that evening so special. Stephen, our initial server, gets a special recognition because he truly made everything possible from the very beginning. My husband is a very particular eater, and Stephen went out of his way to ensure the kitchen understood exactly what he wanted, even when it was different from what was being served. He made accommodations happen effortlessly and with such kindness. That willingness to honor our preferences and nuances set the tone for what would become an exceptional stay. Every interaction we had with Stephen after that initial meeting was just as impressive. he was attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely committed to making sure we were comfortable and happy. Chef Bhumi was absolutely outstanding. After learning that one of our dining experiences had not met our expectations, Chef Bhumi immediately came to our table personally, apologized, and took ownership in such a sincere and gracious way. He was deeply committed to ensuring we left satisfied and happy. He then created a beautiful dining experience for us and played a significant role in making my husband’s birthday celebration special. What meant even more was that throughout our stay, Chef Bhumi continued to check in with us, whether during breakfast, lunch, or dinner simply to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. That level of personal care is rare and was deeply appreciated. Even on the day we departed, Chef Bhumi went above and beyond by making sure we were prepared for our long trip home. He thoughtfully packed a wrap with my husband’s favorite grilled chicken for the journey, which was such a genuine and caring gesture. His hospitality was heartfelt, memorable, and something we will always be grateful for. Njemile (Server) was phenomenal during my husband’s birthday dinner celebration. Her presence was warm, polished, and engaging, and her desire to serve was unmatched. She made the evening even more enjoyable by sharing thoughtful recommendations on places to visit and things to experience, which made us feel even more connected to the destination. Her service was truly memorable. Jouen (Breakfast Server) was equally wonderful. Her warm spirit, gracious attitude, and genuine willingness to serve made each breakfast such a pleasant and uplifting experience. She was consistently welcoming and refreshing, and her presence added so much to our mornings. At the front desk, we encountered several outstanding team members who all helped make our stay feel warm, seamless, and cared for. Zahyra (Front Desk) had such a pleasant, welcoming disposition from the very beginning, and her kindness immediately made us feel comfortable. Dahlia (Front Desk) was also incredibly warm, gracious, and eager to help enhance our stay. Thalia (Front Desk) was kind and helpful, and we appreciated her lovely presence. Martesano (Front Desk) was exceptional—he checked in with us, helped coordinate with Angelique, and played an important role in making sure our evening and overall experience were phenomenal. We also want to recognize Evelline (Navigator), who was absolutely wonderful in helping us determine where to go, what to do, and when to do it based on what I personally enjoy. Her recommendations and guidance were thoughtful, helpful, and added tremendous value to our stay. Even the violinist, who serenaded my husband with “Happy Birthday,” added such a magical, elegant, and unforgettable touch to the birthday celebration. It was a beautiful moment that we will remember for a very long time. What also deserves to be said—and what truly sets this resort apart, is that every single staff member we encountered throughout the resort was exceptional. From the bellmen, to housekeeping, to the staff we crossed paths with throughout the property, everyone was pleasant, warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. There was a consistent spirit of hospitality throughout the entire resort that made us feel valued everywhere we went. That level of warmth across all departments speaks volumes about the culture and leadership of this property. If I had one area of constructive feedback, it would be that the room furniture and some in-room amenities could benefit from upgrades. However, the overall ambience of the resort was lovely, and the extraordinary hospitality we received far outweighed that concern. Because of the incredible efforts of Juillain McDonald, Angelique Knight, Stephen, Chef Bhumi, Njemile, Jouen, Zahyra, Dahlia, Thalia, Martesano, Evelyn/Evelline, and the many wonderful team members throughout the resort, what began as a disappointing start became a deeply meaningful, beautiful, and memorable stay. We sincerely thank the entire Renaissance Resort team for making my husband’s birthday celebration feel so special and for showing us such genuine care. We will absolutely return.

"I fell in LOVE with Curacao!"

We stayed at The Renaissance Wind Creek, and it was the perfect location! You could walk to the Fort and all the shops, down to the Queen Emma Floating Bridge and then right down to the Curacao sign. The service was the best! All of the staff were so welcoming, and they made me and my best friend's birthday so special. Evelyn decorated our room, which was very clean and provided champagne and desserts. You have the 5 o'clock Somewhere Bar on-site, which was such a vibe. Mary is a whole vibe and provided so many details about the island; very sweet. Ms. Niomi, who I think was the manager, was always very present to any of our needs and the sweetest as well. Overall, 100/10; made me want to move there!

"Wonderful Resort Experience--Would Strongly Recommend"

We had an excellent experience at the Renaissance. We would have provided a five star rating, but there were hot water issues on and off during our stay. We almost gave them a five rating regardless for the following reasons: the staff were so friendly and helpful. In particular, we appreciated zahyra at the front desk (so awesome!), njemile (at the dining room), and tyriq (dining room). Each of them made our stay that much more enjoyable. the food was interesting, tasty and consistent. We had the all inclusive package and found there was enough variety and good options. All our meals were good during our stay. the infinity pool was so much fun and such a great asset room was spacious and clean and quiet We would definitely return. We know they were working hard to fix the hot water issue, but it did partly take away from the enjoyment of our trip.

"A surprisingly good experience in Curacao"

We thoroughly enjoyed this property. On arrival, we were greeted with a bottle of cold water, and only waited a short time to be checked in. The hotel frontdesk service was excellent. The Nautilus breakfast buffet had a well-balanced variety of food. The ladies who made the pancakes were fantastic, as were our hostess, Sjouela, and her team. Room service was excellent too, with plenty of choices for a late night snack. The doormen, Alexis and Roland, were very attentive .The hotel responded quickly to the broken pillow and the replacement of the nightstand. Furthermore, the room's cleanliness and amenities were excellent, as was sleep quality. Beds were comfortable and you had a couple of pillows to chose from. We loved the seawater pool, and had a burger at the pool bar that to me was excellent. Fresh towels were availale every day, and the staff was very attentive too. Overall, as frequent Marriott members, we appreciate that this hotel has friendly staff, good service, and a building is generally well-maintained. We also thank the hotel management, especially Herbert Castillo, for their attention to detail and his quick and assertive reaction to our requests.
