"Family vacation"

We had a truly wonderful stay at the Renaissance Hotel. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations — the comfort, the structure, the atmosphere, and especially the level of service. The entire staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, but we would like to give special recognition to Julia. She was exceptional in every sense: kind, efficient, proactive, and always willing to help. Her support made our stay even more pleasant and memorable. The hotel itself is beautiful, very well maintained, and offers an outstanding overall experience. Everything was simply perfect. We will definitely recommend the Renaissance Hotel to friends and family, and we look forward to staying here again in the future.

"BEWARE OF THIS RESORT'S TOTALLY MISLEADING PHOTOS"

This is no 5-star resort at best a 2 or 3 star. Service is poor. Food is old. The "Private Beach" is a joke. It is a manmade beach no more than two city blocks long and one city block deep. The beach chairs are old and thin with no cushions. The pool is tiny. The resort's photos are totally misleading. I was booked for eleven nights but left three days early. Despite no refund, I did not want to amortize non stop annoyance with this poor resort. Rental cars were unavailable. Cabs to other places in the island exorbitant.

"Great resort"

This is a great resort. I was hesitant because of casino, port and no beach. However, it did not disappoint. The resort is excellent. Very professional staff. Great check-in experience. 15 min drive from airport. Room was spacious and well appointed. European level foam mattress (high quality but a little hard for me). Pillows and linens were great. Bathroom well lite and good size. Towels were quite worn but clean. The sister restaurant and bar - 5 O’Clock Somewhere was our go to for food and drink. Outdoors and good staff. We did have one lunch, first day in the hotel dining room. Unfortunately it was a poor experience. One salad and one sandwich were ordered. Took almost an hour to receive and our drinks were never brought. An extra meal (much more expensive than ours - lol) was added to our bill. Very disappointing experience, but we did not hold onto that. Never went back as SO MANY excellent restaurants at our doorstep. The manmade beach (accessible by 2nd floor of hotel) was SO COOL. I felt like I was at the beach - but with no current, waves, jellyfish or sharp objects. Deep enough to swim, excellent food and Bev service. We even did a beach dinner which was excellent. I was a little concerned about the busyness due to cruise ship and port being so close. But it was a non issue for me. The ships were quite a spectacle and added to the excitement. Never so crowded to be an issue. Fort Riffort is right next door and a hub of food, shops and daily music. So fun! Overall - highly recommend.

"Great hotel, great location."

This place is amazing, great staff, very clean. As a platinum member of Marriott this is on of the finest places i have stayed. 5 nights, great time and stay , Thank you. The manager Maetesano Helmiji was very personal and out and about greeting guest and checking if they had any concerns.How nice is that.

"I would highly recommend staying! You will not be disappointed"

The property itself was beautiful. Easy walk across the bridge into shops and restaurants. I would love to mention a few people who stood out and made our stay even better. Angelique and housekeeping went above and beyond always got a little note, and a beautiful smile on her face greeting us every time we saw her. Martina makes the best omelettes and two eggs over light!! again always with a smile on her face wishing you a happy day. Raynell made sure our day started with him greeting us wishing us a happy day and making sure our food was exceptional. Lastly, Thilaia, she greeted us at the front desk. We needed to get to the hotel a day early because we were going to get caught in a snowstorm. She made sure we got to our room and everything was ready. Even gave us an upgrade! So knowledgeable of things to do in places to go and how to get there. Cannot say enough about these people. There were so many more, but these four stood out and went above and beyond!

"The best thing about this resort was the STAFF."

My friend and I stayed at the Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao Resort from January 22–25 to celebrate my 52nd birthday. Check-in was a bit exhausting and time-consuming, but understandably so — every guest had questions, and the reception staff answered each one with attentive detail. Patience was required on both sides, and that effort was appreciated. Our room was clean; however, it had no windows. There was a glass panel that appeared to overlook a conference room. Although we couldn’t see through it, we could clearly hear everything happening inside, which made the room quite noisy and uncomfortable. Our first visit to the pool grill and bar around 5:30 PM was extremely disappointing. Three wait staff members were present, yet none acknowledged us — no greeting, no “we’ll be right with you,” nothing. We sat at a table for 25 minutes without being approached. We then moved to the bar, where we were ignored for another 30 minutes. Eventually, we left and went to the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar, where we were warmly and kindly served by Nassir, which was a much-needed contrast. That evening, we returned to our room and unfortunately found a pregnant roach crawling on the wall, which was upsetting. Day two: After spending the day at Mambo Beach, we freshened up and went to the hotel’s buffet dining room. We were seated by Solange. Although the restaurant was empty, she placed us in a corner behind a column. She was not personable, did not smile, and provided only minimal service. What made the experience particularly uncomfortable was observing her behavior toward a Caucasian couple who entered afterward — she graciously seated them, stood by their table, smiled broadly, and made pleasant conversation, while giving us side-eye with pursed lips. She also failed to clear our dishes properly, stacking used plates right next to us. Day three was a complete turnaround. Suddenly, we encountered the right people at the right time — staff members who truly went out of their way to make our stay special despite the poor first and second impressions. I want to recognize the star players of this establishment — the people you should seek out if you want genuine hospitality: Roland and Miguel (front entrance) Luiz and Luis – attentive and kind Stephen, lobby bar manager — considerate and understanding Tyriq and Chantel, lobby restaurant waiters/hostesses Bellsa, lobby restaurant manager/supervisor — she can make any rainy day sunny Rasean, 2nd-floor pool bar waiter Dunesca, bartender Nassir, 5 O’Clock Somewhere waiter Tahlia (?), front desk receptionist If something goes wrong during your stay, these are the right people to make it right. Thank you all for being caring, attentive, and professional. Keep smiling — your efforts do not go unnoticed. I truly hope the Renaissance Wind Creek Resort leadership acknowledges your hard work and dedication to making guests feel welcomed and seen.
