La struttura è in una buona posizione, immersa nel verde e visitata da molte scimmiette.

Sicuramente è datata, la nostra camera familiare era quasi sottoterra, basica in senso negativo, ma il ristorante è la parte peggiore, colazione servita come in una mensa di basso livello, cibo mal presentato, e mal conservato per il caldo che c’è. Basterebbe davvero poco per dare quel valore aggiunto che la struttura potrebbe avere. Delusi.

The hotel’s location is good, and the rooms (we stayed in junior suites) are renovated, though not very recently. They were not clean or polished enough for what you would expect from a 4-star hotel. Room service was a good alternative, especially considering there is no A/C and the restaurant is poorly ventilated. The beach is about a 10-minute walk away, which is a nice bonus. One of the real highlights was seeing monkeys running across the balconies, a unique and memorable experience that definitely adds to the overall stay

We misunderstood where our room would be, I guess. Thought we would have a view. But room was very nice. TV sound was horrible, but we didn't spend much time in the room. Beach was nice. There was food/drinks and all kinds of activities available. Breakfast we great. Especially because we saw monkeys almost every morning! Watch your banana's, sugar, etc. They are SOOOO cute! But sneaky!

Some of the staff in the restaurant were not very friendly to our all girl table and seemed to be more attentive to tables where there was a guy for some reason. I guess that's what it was. I don't know. But those that were nice made up for it.

The ground-level staff are genuinely wonderful. From the restaurant crew to housekeeping and the bellmen, they are the only reason this place gets any stars at all. The location near Biesanz Beach is still beautiful. The views are truly hard to beat.

The "loyalty" rate is a joke. I’ve been coming to Manuel Antonio twice a year for 10 years, through high and low seasons, and have stayed here before. Even during the peak Christmas rush when the hotel was sold out, the rates on Booking.com were still significantly cheaper than what management quoted me as a "loyal" returning guest. They clearly prefer charging peak prices over taking care of long-time visitors. To top it off, I was given the worst room I've ever stayed in, dark and tucked into a corner like an afterthought. Always book through the app. They have zero empathy. We asked for a simple breakfast box one morning, and management said no, claiming they only make "exceptions" for people in wheelchairs or who are sick. We were dealing with serious family stress from recent surgeries, and they couldn’t have cared less. A 4-star hotel that ranks your problems before deciding if you deserve basic kindness isn't providing true hospitality. The excuses don't even make sense. They told us they couldn't do a breakfast box because of "monkeys," yet they actively promote room service in those same areas. Apparently, monkeys are only a problem when you ask for something reasonable. The GM gets defensive, not helpful. Instead of listening or trying to fix anything, the General Manager just shuts you down. If you read their replies to other negative reviews, it's the same pattern every time: dismissive, defensive, and zero accountability. Verdict: The staff on the ground deserve better management. I genuinely like the people who work here, but I can't recommend this place when the people running the show treat returning guests like marks and respond to honest feedback like a personal attack. If you do stay, never book directly. Even at peak prices, the app is cheaper than management's "special offers".

It was difficult checking in with the office being closed when we got there.
