Peach Hill Resort

Absolutely stunning resort in a tranquil rainforest setting. There are a lot of stairs, so keep that in mind for less abled people. The mango pool area was absolutely delightful, as were the other areas. The buffet breakfast is well worth the small additional cost, and the resort is within easy walking distance of the Kata shops and restaurants, and the beach! The staff were wonderful, I didn’t want to leave as after 10 days here they became our friends! Mayank the service manager was a delight, always saying hello and making sure we wanted for nothing. After our stay here we moved to a different resort in another area of Phuket for the second part of our trip, but I missed Peach Hill a lot! I’d have happily stayed here another 2 weeks. Will stay again next time we visit! Thank you for making our stay memorable.

The resort was walking distance to Kata Beach

Yes it’s up a hill. But you’re only walking up it once or twice a day. There is another way up, longer but not as steep. Via the sister hotel. Hotel itself- brilliant. Has everything you and what it doesn’t have is made by the staff. Yes it’s very quiet, beds super comfortable, air conditioning great. There was two staff in the restaurant but I didn’t get there names. The gentleman staff began with a P. He was so helpful. The staff are always so happy, and they remember you and what you order. Perfect location. Not too close and not too far. Perfect for Kata, Karon and Patong beach.

Didn’t like that it was uphill and quite difficult to walk to.

Resort is nice, 3 pools was a bonus. It is set on a hill but that wasn’t an issue. AC was super strong and room was cleaned everyday. Very central and definitely would go back and stay. It was a cheap place to stay for $50pn and rooms were very spacious.

Peach Hill and its adjacent sister property (you can use either restaurant or pools and corresponding short walk access to Kata Beach and Karon Beach). For busy west coastal Phuket, both of these beaches are bit less busy (especially Kata), but give you short taxi access to Phuket City (and it’s ocean activities) or busy/popular Patong Beach. It seems like Peach Blossom may be a bit newer and nicer, but our room on the Peach Hill property was great and had all the amenities most folks on holiday would want. If walking distance to a nice beach and a moderate amount of shops/restaurants is what you are looking for, I definitely would recommend this property, If you are looking for a super quite/exlusive/private beach experience, I am sure there are some pricey option. But for the money, this was a great deal. We really appreciated help with booking some activities (where our own efforts were not working out).

Bathroom was not draining well but overall everything was good

The resort is located on a very large hill (the name gives it away) and it’s quite a steep walk up and down to get into town (nothing else on the hill but another hotel so no choice for food). This hill would be bareable if you could then use an elevator to your hotel room. Alas, I was staying on the 4th floor in a building that had no lift. Not very 4 star and I was unaware of this at the time of booking (in fact I requested a ground floor room). The aircon was awful. After the big hill and 4 flights of stairs, I loved walking into a sweat box and towel drying myself multiple times. Big queen bed was very comfortable, shower was awful. Changed temperature by itself and had zero water pressure making it hard to wash hair/body. Multiple pools to choose from, stable solid breakfast and cheap room service/cocktails. Overall nice but the no lift + bad shower + bad aircon makes it hard to justify the price. Preferred my very very cheap hostels…

The pools were lovely but unfortunately some of the loungers were broken and there were a few sections of tiling that were broken or repaired badly. It was easy to cut yourself on the loose tiles. The staff were friendly and helped where they could. We had cockroaches in our room (we think due to housekeepers leaving the door open for too long when cleaning) which really disturbed our stay, however, the housekeeper did help us catch one at 11pm! The room looked nice initially but on further inspection, it was very grubby. Mouldy shower curtain, grubby walls and sticky floors which really need a mop. The door was broken, so a wide gap under this also allowed insects in. They change towels every day and bedding every 2 days which is not eco friendly at all especially since there’s no way (no door hanger etc) to communicate to housekeepers that you do not want these things changed. Hotel reception is on a very steep hill and you have to climb a lot of stairs and walk far to your room/bungalow as the rooms/bungalows are back down the hill on the other side.
