Hampton Inn & Suites Cedar Rapids

We had a great stay. The air conditioning wasnt working in our room and the front desk clerk immediately got us settled into an upgraded room with air! Its nice to have the option to buy snacks and drinks as well

Staff was friendly and nice. Room was nice and open. Clean.

I only had one problem and that was eith our housekeeper. When we went into our room their was some sort of a stain on tje covers we pull it was wet clear to the mattress. And since it was night their was no houskeeper. We talked to Greg and he was absolutely amazing. Greg was more than willing to help us and he geniuanly was upset with the whole situation he went so far as to call management for us in the morning, gave each of us in my room a free treat from the covience store. We saw him the next night and thanked him again and he eve sent our door dash to our door he was a lovely man. I hope his manager sees this becouse ne deserves the recognition.

This was our second visit to this Hampton, and I'm sorry to say we were disappointed with our stay. When we got to our room, it smelled a bit musty (old carpet/furniture smell). We didn't think too much of it until we discovered that our AC wasn't working. We had a west-facing room, so it was pretty warm in there (80 degrees). The fan was running, but no cool all night. We were weary from traveling and had already gotten settled, so decided not to call the front desk to be moved. Our bed (king) was pretty soft, and creaked when you moved. The small refrigerator sat on the floor. The shower area had quite a bit of residue in the corners, and some tile had broken off the wall. The shower water never got hot (only warm). At night you could see quite a bit of light shining in along the bottom and the side of the room door, and it looked like it was warped. I brought all of this to the attention of the desk clerk in the morning and he did discount the room, but because there were multiple issues I don't think we'll be returning.

We got down graded from king suite to a double queen because the hotel over booked. The pool was freezing cold you could barely put your feet in before horribly shivering and few snacks they did have to offer were very overly priced. But it was clean and breakfast was good.

Was in a handicap room, and the bed seemed a little firmer than I like.

Around 9 pm it started making noise that sounded like inside of an aquarium. I assume a condenser or something, but quite annoying. Restaurant attendant did great job! Kept tables clean and promptly filled foods.

Our room was clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. I would for sure stay here again.
