Americas Best Value Inn Ellsworth

It's a fine option for those visiting Ellsworth, for the obvious reason. Checking in is fast, and their continental breakfast is just as good as the next. Close enough to food options, and fuel. Overall, a good option if you're visiting Ellsworth.

The rooms are clean and well appointed. I found the person at the desk very helpful and friendly Nice breakfast. The rooms have a microwave and refrigerator plus a nice large TV. The desk is open 24 hours and I like that as I checked in around 7 pm I enjoyed that they had a coffee maker in the room.

Was not impressed by the limited selection for continental breakfast. All carbs and weak coffee.

I like parking right at my door. Very comfortable bed.

Typically, I'd never look twice at a place with such an affordable price. Yet I read the reviews and decided to give it a shot. Frankly, i wish more folks did so to help support the family owned/run businesses. The young woman who was at the Front Desk was most delightful and helpful. It was further out of the way than I'd usually select, coming from I-70. Between rain and evening about to be upon us, we went for it. The room was clean. Yes, at every hotel and even on cruise ships I check the mattresses and they were clean. The beds were comfortable and the a/c worked well enough we got a good sleep before resuming the road trip. The breakfast was enough to fill the peckish need until we were back on the road again. Nothing fancy but it sufficed. Sure, it's an older place and could use a bit extra maintenance but nothing that sent me running. Ultimately, it was a good choice and a decent stay for an affordable price. I'd stay there again.

Must admit I was a bit skeptical at first about this property and considered traveling another 20 miles out of our way. Had been told by family it "had serious management issues" a few years back. There's a new team now & they've done a great job making the property outstanding. I was VERY satisfied with the rooms, and service! We were cordially met by "Jay", the manager, when we arrived. He made our stay very pleasant. And the rooms were marvelous-very clean & no odors or stains in the carpet or bedding!! Loved the shower. The handicap access room was huge! No issues with a wheelchair maneuvering in the bathroom. The pool was great too-relaxing! There's a meeting area that's perfect for gatherings, plenty of chairs & tables. Thanks Jay for letting us use that area for our family get together. Many of the rooms have 2 entry doors, one to the parking area and the other to the atrium, pool or meeting area. This was very convenient when you wanted to go swimming or to relax in the interior areas. Only one thing keeps this property from being a "5"--the A/C unit was loud. Woke up several times when it started up and shut down.

Very impressed! Room was modern, clean, and comfortable. Exactly what I want in a hotel room. The pool is large and well-maintained, and the staff was extra helpful. Shout out to Andy! My family rented a block of rooms and we really appreciated the seating in the courtyard that allowed us to gather and spend time together.
