Americas Best Value Inn Ellsworth

More than just a convenient stopping point on our road trip. The hotel was extremely clean and comfortable. The Innkeepers are very nice. It was a great place to stop.

First off I have to say I booked our rooms through cheaptickets.com which I found through Tripdadvisor, that was the problem. DO NOT EVER book through cheaptickets.com. I booked the two rooms on April 29th; because we had a family reunion to go to on Memorial Day weekend. Our normal place was booked so we scrambled to find a new hotel somewhere. I found Americas Best Value Inn online and saw that cheaptickets.com had the lowest prices. DO NOT book through cheaptickets.com, the place is a scam. They booked the rooms, charged us for one room before we even went on the trip. We got into Ellsworth on Saturday afternoon and went to check in, they had no reservations for us! This is a tiny town, all other towns around it are tiny, there are not hotels or many places to stay. We were starting to panic since we didn't know what we were going to do. The manager was super nice, and he said he'd just had some cancellations and we could have their rooms, that he would help us. I called Cheaptickets.com, the 1-800 number for them, and after so many automated steps I was finally able to talk to a human. She said that one of our rooms had been canceled already. What?! Why??! I was like I never canceled it and sure the hell never got a notice saying it was canceled. The lady on the phone called the manager of the hotel and he said he didn't have any record of us, he didn't even have a computer system a month ago when we booked our trip, so I don't know how the hell that went through. Anyway after calling the hotel she said yes they didn't have our reservation and she would refund our card for the one room that we were already charged for. DO NOT book your rooms through cheaptickets.com EVER!! Now on to the motel room, it's a very small place, one floor, you park right outside your room. The room was very cold, the air conditioning worked amazingly!! It was 100 on Saturday; it got our room down to 60 and kept it there. The water pressure in the shower was great, the bed was firm, there were lots of pillows. Our king bed room only had a recliner, it didn't have a table and chairs to sit at. But it had a desk with a chair, a dresser, fridge and microwave. They also had an indoor pool that was open till 10. They had a nice continental breakfast in the morning. They had waffles, biscuits and gravy, danishes and little donuts, cold cereal, milk and juice. We had a very nice stay and would gladly stay there again next year for our family reunion! They are also right next door to a Mexican restaurant, that was really good!! The con queso was excellent! There's a steakhouse on the other side and two gas stations right there and a Dollar General across the street!

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioning worked. The shower was hot and the water pressure was good. There's a good Mexican restaurant next door. It's the only choice in Ellsworth but the owners work to make it a nice place to stay.

Hotel was clean, was in need of some repairs andupgrades.

Manager was friendly and helpful. Some of the rooms are updated. They need new linens - towles are old and not enough in the rooms.

Very pleasant place to stay, good service and nice room.

Got to hotel and was excited to find they offer rooms where you can still smoke in Your room. Clean nice room with great service. Had a variety of breakfast foods.

I rated this "Excellent" because of 3 reasons: My room was very clean, it had no odors, and the lady at the desk was very friendly. I stayed one night while hunting in the area. The continental breakfast was fine, with the usual continental breakfast choices. I did not use the pool. If I return to this area in the future, I will stay here again. No complaints.

I had stayed at this motel years ago and thought I would never stay there again. I was really surprised with the over all improvements made. I will consider staying here in the future.

Stayed one night and was pleased. The room was clean and up to date. Wifi worked great and the bed was very comfortable. There is a nice covered pool and a continental breakfast is included. Noise was not an issue. You park right in front of your door and the location is next door to several restaurants. Only hotel in Ellsworth and a good place to rest.
