Las Flores Country & Beachside Hotel

I was stunned to read the other positive reviews on this site in light of our dismal experience at this hotel. Our crappy experience commenced one second after we got out of the car, late in the afternoon. Two wild barking dogs are caged right next to the parking lot and from the sound and aspect of them, would be more than happy to rip one's head off. We walked in. No one there, not a soul. Creepy. Presently a woman came out and greeted us. Very severe Asian aspect; not at all a kindly, bed-and-breakfast-y demeanor. She led us up to our room -- supposedly one of the nicest in the place. The room was a dump. The air conditioner hadn't been on, so it was amazingly hot. An old saggy overly soft bed sat in the middle of the room. We turned on the A/C unit but it would only blow the fan, and not cool the air. So, we opened the doors and went to take a cold shower. Well, that was a bad idea. There is only handheld unit there, and a very very leaky hose ensured that almost no water actually made it out of the end. Not to worry -- the photo on Expedia showed a pool -- so we put on our swimsuits and walked out. Not a soul around. There was a worn dirt path to a tiny little pool. The widest wide-angle lens must have been used for the Expedia shots, because it was about 1/4 the size we expected. Moreoever, it obviously hadn't been cleaned for days but it was the only way to get cool so we jumped in. I felt bad about taking my SO to such a bad place. Awful.

The hotel itself is a nice multi-room house. The problem is it's literally in the middle of nowhere! We took a ride into town and didn't bother to get out of the tricycle. There is nothing, literally nothing to do there. The hotel is nice but unpopulated. During our prepaid three day stay we were the only guests. I don't think I ever saw the lobby with the lights on. I'm sure they're trying to keep the costs down, but every common room is unlit and aircon off until you find someone to light the place up. The two staff people are lovely. They leave though in the evening and it's just you and security out front. It has a private beach but it's made of rocks. The pool is lovely and for the most part so is the hotel. You must however love who you are with because it will be complete solitude. Had I been able to leave early without prepayment penaly I probably would have. To make matters worse could management PLEASE install a shower hook. As an American we're simply not used to a hand held shower all the time. It takes so little to install a hook. It really was a daily annoyance. Other than that. If you like to be alone around very pleasant staff, without a truely functional shower I'd reccomend.

Las Flores isn't your typical small hotel or resort. It is basically a big Mediterranean style house with 5 big bedrooms. It has a warm and comfortable aura you feel as soon as you step in the front door.

2박을 묵었는데 세부공항에서 호텔까지 약 1시간반정도 소요됩니다.위치는 세부시내와 멀리떨어져있습니다. 주변엔 아무것도없고요.그렇지만 호텔의 청결도및 서비스는 최고입니다.주인의 영어는 아주능숙하며 객실내 요구사항은 모두 친절하게 해결해줍니다.가족및 연인과 집같은 분위기를 느끼기에는 충분한 호텔입니다.단 2박이상은 묵지않도록 권해드립니다.이유는 호텔에만 있기에는 2박이상은 지루해지기 때문입니다.

조용하고 편안히 쉬기에 좋은 리조트 입니다. 주변에 다른 볼거리 또는 액티비티가 많지 않지만 편히 쉬거나 조용한 곳을 좋아하신다면 추천합니다.

Staff was great and food was excellent. Rooms weren't quite what we expected and there was a mix up between expedia and the resort. Not their fault but it did put a damper on our first night.

호텔에 어떻게 가야 하나 많이 걱정을 했었는데 미리 전화해서 물어보니 픽업이 가능하다고 해서(왕복 3200PESO) 세부시내에서 호텔에서 픽업나온 차량을 타고 호텔에 갔다. 호텔은 깨끗하고 친절하고 조용했다. 가족끼리 조용히 즐겁게 오붓하게 지내기 딱맞는 호텔이다. 특히 음식이 아주 맛있으며 바다풍광이 멋스럽고 바다에 비친 달빛도 아름다웠다. 호텔앞 바다에서 즐긴 카약도 즐거웠다.

Excellent place to base your exploration of Philippine Islands! Nice "retreat" from the bustle of urban centers, but crowds are available by choice! Chose to travel in air-con bus, regular bus, tricycle or taxi according to your budget or cultural taste. Air flights are cheap as well as local hotels. Medical attention is often "package priced"!

Pros : Nice view, nice room, nice pool, nice food, nice people Cons: Really a bit far away from City, no other restaurants / supermarket around

We very much enjoyed our one night experience. The staff was great, and we had a nice view of the sea from our room. The dinner and breakfast that we ate at the hotel were delicious - the breakfast was included in the room rate and was very complete and delicious.
