"Excellent stay, perfect location, gorgeous rooms"

The location couldn't be better, right in the heart of Gion and easy waking distance to many things. The rooms were gorgeous traditional yet modern, and bed linen very luxurious. Being only 17 rooms, the service was so personalised. Breakfast was good.

Location, great ambience, super pretty rooms and area. A true ryokan experience

The location is abit difficult for taxis to get to as it doesn’t seem to appear on the Apps. They aren’t familiar also. But can somehow get around.

"Very nice hotel to stay in / I do not recommend the traditionnal dinner at all"

Very nice hotel, well located with very big and comfortable rooms. Charming people at the reception, very nice and helpful.

I would not recommend the traditionnal dinner at all, because it is wayyyyy too expensive for what is it. You will eat much better at a very (but like: VERY) lower price in lots of restaurants from Kyoto. Moreover it is served in the breakfast room on plain tables, not on tatamis as shown on the pictures when making the reservation. Not cosy at all.
