General Palmer Hotel

My mom, sister and I had a lovely stay at this hotel. It is charming, has tons of character and lovely knowledgable staff. Our room was spacious yet cozy with a view right at the corner of downtown. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was upgraded and had lovely soaps and shampoos. The included breakfast in the morning was fresh and ample before a day of activities. We chose to stay here since it is walking distance to the Durango/Silverton train. They will even let you stay parked at the hotel while you ride! We will be back the next time we're in Durango for sure!

Excellent staff. We were impressed with Chandler at the front desk. We haven’t seen such a high level of service in a long time.

Nice retro to a cool building a bit pricey but it’s cool and. Lose to the train station like stepping back in time

The inclusive breakfast sucked same old food you get any where that serves breakfast lousy eggs and shit sausage so if you travel a bit and stay in places they all serve the same crap food and so did you which really brought down your value

Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff in a classically 125+ yr old hotel. The surrounding town of Durango and offers plenty of shopping and dining experiences

Lovely historic hotel

A beautiful historic hotel I’ve had the pleasure of staying at many times over the last 26 years. Staff is always very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable on the history of the hotel and area. They include a very nice breakfast.
