Book ground floor if you have sizable luggage. Paid for top floor with view of Mount Rainer, honestly not worth the additional charge. Carpet in need of steam cleaning. Bathroom clean with hot water after long day hiking. Ripped bed cover and dirty pillow slip. Changed on request. Laundry available with charge that is done by staff. Be mindful and triple check what clothes you give and what you get back. Lost socks and a tshirt, got someone else’s socks in return!!

Very old building. But the town is old and a runs only few blocks. Hotel is clean and convenient

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and had a few updates such as bedding and carpet. It was also quiet even though the Inn was full.

This place is pretty rundown especially for the rate paid. For example there are almost no electrical outlets in the room to charge devices. The one that were there are so old and worn that charging cables fall out, how is that even safe, or up to code? It rained the night we were there and turned the parking lot into a lake, making our car inaccessible until morning. It feels like the place was built in the 1950’s and has apparently had no renovation since.

Older property but clean room and air conditioner. Super convenient as grocery store is right next door and restaurants within walking distance including a coffee shop and brewery! Front office staff was friendly and the location is convenient for those headed to the Paradise and Sunrise entrances of Mt. Rainier. Highly recommend Packwood Inn.

I have stayed at this hotel many times since 2014 for family vacations. Last time before this stay it was in 2020. It was always very nice and cozy! The staff is always very nice, friendly and attentive! But this time it was just awful: Cockroaches were crawling everywhere in the room with a kitchen! At night, cockroaches were crawling right on the body! This has never happened before! We were shocked! But that's the only thing bad, everything else there is excellent!

The carpet needs an immediate shampoo. The bed and bathroom were clean and in good shape. The refrigerator was much better than most other hotel refrigerators. The second step from the ground on the stairs not facing the street should be replaced before any more of it rots away. We had a peak of Mt. Rainier from our window!
