Packwood Inn

The only key positive about this place is its proximity to Mt. Ranier NP. Otherwise it is really old and dated. The dark decor makes made it worse. The big downside is the bathroom. The bathroom window offers no privacy. An opaque glass or curtain would work. Otherwise it’s an average place that is fairly clean.

I loved staying here. Staff were friendly and helpful. My room was spacious and comfortable; it was clean, I felt safe, it was quiet, and yes, I would stay here again. It actually has a mountain view of Mt Rainier.

Very nice service and great base for Mt. Rainier hiking. It is dated but nice.

Great place with easy access to food, coffee, grocery, and a quick drive to Mt. Rainier.

Room was clean and enjoyed the 2 days stay.

Although the staff was pleasant, the place was quite run down (stairs and railings a little rickety) and lacked any green areas - just lots of asphalt and junk behind. It was a good location and was close to a number of restaurants within walking distance and close the the Sunrise entrance to Mt. Rainier. Made up for the conditions.

Great stay

Great location and close to Mt Rainier. Not a fancy hotel by any means - you get what you pay for. But the pool was nice, the room was clean, and the bathroom was clean. Would definitely stay here again if in the area and wanting a nice stay that's easier on the wallet than other local hotels.
