Krabi Resort

had to go through 2 rooms before offered an ungraded room which was very nice - 1st room nice but AC was broken - 2nd room there was a sewage smell that would make you sick 3rd room - one of the bungalows was very nice so they made up for the other 2

Our group of five really enjoyed our time at this resort. We appreciated the shuttle service from the airport. We all enjoyed the options at the breakfast buffet every morning. The pool area was relaxing & we enjoyed the swim up bar. Our rooms were very comfortable. We loved the easy access within walking distance to the main street with all the numerous restaurants and shops.

The resort is dated and not maintained properly. Location is good. Rooms had telephoto at does not work, cockroaches found, poor service, bathroom fittings etc not maintained. Overall, it’s not worth staying here the resort was picked by Pick your trail who booked this place for us.

Great position on Ao nang beach front property. Nice rooms to stay in but upgrade for them don’t go for the cheap ones. Nice gardens around the property. 3 lee downs were, 1 both pools looked a bit murky so didn’t use them, loos near restaurant and beach were filthy and in desperate need of upgrading, seriously, a good regular clean would have been nice, I complained a couple of time about cleaning them!! Everyone wants chairs near beach as it’s cooler so maybe bring unused pool chairs and put more by the beach. Sadly though chairs not cleaned and rubbish not cleared end of day so if you go get a chair in the morning you have to clean it and remove rubbish from day before. Breakfast and drinks good but didn’t eat other than that, nice stay in all!

Take if 2 cities here really. We had room m13 on the hill overlooking gardens and hills in distance, comfy bed lovely bathroom, great balcony with views. Beach is nice and hotel is at the end laying back from the madness and noise which the main drag outside the hotel has become in the last few years. Good bar by the beach with a happy hour! So one side is lovely, gardens nice well cared for. What lets the place down is the tented area where breakfast is taken. Shoddy to say the least. Food was good, nice selection at breakfast. Didn’t eat at night as there’s so much choice outside hotel. The toilets however that are near the beach at the back of breakfast area are to say the least shocking and need a serious upgrade. Sears filthy, loos blocked on more than 1 occasion. Worthy of a 1 star if that. They really let the hotel down. Didn’t use pools either as water looked a bit murky but plenty empty beds around the pools. . Would be nice if they put more beds by the beach as they are in demand. But they don’t get cleaned, lots of old towels and empty glasses left until next morning. Could be made so nice if management were on the ball and at least had regular checks on state of beach toilet facilities and cleanliness.

This hotel was in a good location for Ao Nang, it’s right on the beach, although it’s not the best beach it’s nice enough and you can look out over it whilst having breakfast. You could also easily pickup the water taxis a short walk down the beach. The breakfast was really nice, full range of options. The hotel grounds/gardens are kept really nice and it’s nice to walk around. Where this hotel falls down is on the rooms and pool area. We had a luxury grand pool room, it’s grand in the sense it’s big with high ceilings but was far from luxury, the bath panel was hanging off, the plugs in bath and sink didn’t work and there was a big rusty bolt sticking up from the floor. You got two sachets of Nescafé, sugar and whitener which never got replaced. It was billed as having robes and slippers, didn’t have any, when asked they said they didn’t do them. The air con was so loud, sounded like a jet taking off so there was a choice between not sleeping well because it was too hot or too loud! The main pool was green and didn’t look nice, however the smaller pool was nice. We were only there 3 days but overall we enjoyed our time there mostly out visiting other places and the night market across the way has some good food options. Bottom line it’s nice enough but don’t expect luxury as billed.

Once checking into the hotel, the room conditions were terrible, nothing worked. The a/c didn’t work or the tv. The furniture had mold and the room didn’t look anything like the pictures. When I asked about the different pictures listed they said did you request a pool room, and I said that is what I payed for. The staff was not very helpful until the second time I asked to switch rooms. Beware of the bait and switch

We were a little apprehensive about what to expect before arriving at the resort based on the mixed reviews, but we were overall delighted with our experience and had a fantastic holiday. We had a Grand Luxury Garden room in M block ( set up on slight hill). The balcony provided the most amazing views over the tropical gardens. The room was spacious and generally clean, beds and towels changed everyday but as with other reviews there were a few features that let it down, such as a stained, tired looking bedside lamp shade and the black wall tiles in the bathroom were streaked and not cleaned - all this could be fixed easily to improve standards. Smiling, courteous staff and the excellent proximity to the private beachfront and bustling nightlife and bars/ restaurants nearby, outweighed all the petty niggles. We would definitely visit again. Tip; pay extra for a Grand luxury room (garden view) with a balcony - it’s worth the extra over a standard deluxe room.

We stayed at Krabi resort for three nights as a family of four. It was one of the first resorts in Ao Nang and is a bit dated. We got one of the old rooms first (L72) being quite smelly and requiring a refurb. Later we could move to a renovated one which was ok. We had only breakfast there once as it was also quite careless. Krabi Resort is an oldie but not so goldie anymore.
