Complete Scam – Looks Beautiful in Photos but Dirty and Poorly Maintained – Not Worth €200/Night Stay: January 28–29, 2026 | Pool Villa The Good: The location and natural setting are beautiful. The Reality: This resort advertises itself as “5-star service & accommodations” and charges premium rates (€200/night for our pool villa), but the real experience is closer to a worn-out 2-star property that hasn’t seen proper maintenance in years. Major Issues: • Staff: Friendly on the surface but don’t speak English and offer no real help. It’s like talking to a wall—if something goes wrong, there’s no one in charge who can assist. • Hot water system: Requires waiting over 10 minutes between uses. Unacceptable at this price point. • Maintenance: Peeling paint, old furniture, broken fixtures, and neglect everywhere. • Private pool: Dirty and poorly maintained despite being marketed as their “best accommodation.” • Food: Same type of dishes you can find at local food stalls, only five times more expensive. • Value: Charging €200/night for this quality is beyond unreasonable—it feels like a scam. You can find truly luxurious resorts in the Philippines for this price or less. The Pattern: These issues aren’t new. Many past reviews describe the same conditions, meaning management has known for a long time but done nothing to fix them. Bottom Line: Totally disappointing. The place may look great in photos, but the reality is dirty, poorly maintained, and badly managed. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone under any circumstance. Rating: ⭐⭐ Beautiful surroundings completely wasted by neglect, low-quality food, and nonexistent service.

Peaceful accommodation in a very remote location (4 hrs from the main airport in Cebu). The drivers they arranged for us to transport us to and from the island were exceptional. Best suited for guests who want to relax and unwind, as there isn’t much to do on the island and it’s very quiet. However, it’s a great location for Canyoneering and whale shark swimming. Staff had very good customer service. Massages were really good but expensive, wifi was unstable and beds were pretty hard.

Location is lovely, beautiful setting and nice pool. The treatments at the spa are fantastic. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Sorry these are small things but should be addressed if a supposed 5 star hotel Only one pillow each and charged for any additional pillows One towel each only no hand towels No shampoo only body wash Very expensive taxi or tuk tuk to Moalboal. (Not hotels fault but should be aware)

It’s the kind of place where time seems to slow down, and you don’t feel rushed to do anything at all. The villas were spacious, private, and extremely comfortable. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and being surrounded by greenery was incredibly soothing. Everything was clean, well maintained, and designed to help you fully relax. What we truly appreciated was the wellness-focused experience. From the peaceful surroundings to the healthy, well-prepared meals, you can really feel the resort’s dedication to balance and well-being. The food was fresh, nourishing, and surprisingly delicious, making every meal something to look forward to. The staff were warm, respectful, and attentive without being intrusive. Their calm and genuine service matched the peaceful energy of the resort perfectly. Badian Island Wellness Resort is not a place for loud crowds or busy schedules — it’s a sanctuary. If you’re looking for a quiet escape to reset, recharge, and reconnect with yourself, this is the perfect destination. Highly recommended for couples or anyone seeking true relaxation and wellness.

L’arrivée en bateau

Le lieu pourrait avoir tout pour être un paradis, mais il s’agit malheureusement d’un hôtel laissé à l’abandon, sans réelle gestion ni présence managériale sur place. Nous avons été très déçus par la qualité de la chambre et de l’environnement général : tout est très vieillissant et nécessiterait une rénovation complète. La piscine privée était mal entretenue, avec une eau sale et de nombreux éléments rouillés, ce qui est loin des photos présentées sur le site de réservation. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons constaté un problème dans la gestion de notre réservation. Il n’y avait personne capable de nous fournir une information claire et fiable, et nous avons été baladés tout au long du séjour. Il était impossible de parler à un responsable sur place, tout simplement parce qu’il n’y en avait pas. Nous avons finalement dû régler la situation directement avec la plateforme Booking. Même l’e-mail envoyé à l’hôtel après notre séjour est resté sans réponse. La restauration est également très décevante : la qualité des plats n’est pas au rendez-vous, même les pâtes étaient beaucoup trop cuites. Au vu du prix de la chambre, le rapport qualité-prix est clairement insuffisant. Après avoir voyagé dans plusieurs îles des Philippines et séjourné dans différents hôtels, il s’agit malheureusement de notre première réelle déception.

Villa sublime. Rien à redire

Petit déjeuner identique aux hôtels à 20€ la nuitée donc déçue. Très déçue d'avoir dû payer le bateau aller retour pour accéder à l'hôtel ( je comprends que les trajets en extra soient payants mais celui qui sert à accéder à l'hôtel devrait être compris, surtout à 400€ la nuit)

Emplacement proche des activités comme canyoneering, nage avec les requins baleines et sardines run.

Intérieur un peu vieux

Un établissement sur une île, isolé de nuisance, une réelle pose dans le temps. Personnel très sympathique et accueillant, nourriture excellente et mention spéciale pour le spa. Le meilleur massage d’une vie réalisé par deux masseuses en même temps!!
