Holiday Inn Express - Eunice by IHG

Rooms could use some updating. Door close very loud. Only one elevator. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was mediocre. Ran out of plates for 2 days and pancake maker was broken.

The ease of getting to the place and the staff was very nice.

The grass was very tall, weeds & poisen ivy was grown in the bushes which was close to the side walks. The parking lot had grass/weeds growing in the cracks, mud and rocks on the parking spaces, & the place showed real neglect which needed a regular maintenance crew to clean up around this place. Breakfast ran out of plates to serve your food & pancake mix. For a Holiday Inn facility, it should be kept up a lot better than this.

I’ve always liked to stay here but this time I had a bunch of problems no toilet paper. Coffee maker was extremely dirty so was the tub and shower.

am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the unprofessional behavior I experienced from the current hotel manager at your [Hotel Location] property. As a loyal guest and IHG member, I have stayed at this location since it was built and have never encountered any issues—until recently. The new manager, who I understand transferred from out of state, has demonstrated behavior that is neither customer-service oriented nor professional. During a recent stay, she attempted to explain a change in hotel policy in front of her staff in a very rude and condescending manner. Despite allowing me to stay the weekend, I brought to her attention issues such as discoloration in the bathtub and rust on the door hinges. Following this, I was unexpectedly blocked from booking further stays. To be clear, I was never rude or violent, and no authorities were ever involved—indicating that my behavior was never a real concern. It seems instead that the decision was made based solely on the manager’s personal discretion. This treatment is unjustified, especially for someone who has been a consistent and respectful guest over the years. Furthermore, my family, who often travels from out of state to visit, now avoids this location entirely due to her negative attitude—not just toward guests, but reportedly toward hotel staff as well. I respectfully request that the property owner contact me directly to discuss this matter. I value this location and hope to see it uphold the standards I have come to expect from IHG hotels.

Breakfast was good -- always plentiful and delicious. Front desk staff was very nice and tried their best to accommodate any requests.

Housekeeping was lacking - I asked a few times for general service (toilet clogged, trash disposal) and finally had taken care of my last day. As for the toilet, I had to request a plunger and do myself. Also, for the cost, I would think some of the smaller items would be in better condition -- for example, some of the shower curtain rings were broken which seemed a bit janky.

The staff was friendly and the location was good for our intended purpose.

The facility really needs some maintenance. It was dirty, really dirty and not maintained. The entrance and exit from the parking lot had a large hole that had to be driven through. When we pulled back the bed covers we found someone else's hair on the sheets along with a finger or toenail from a previous guest. Unfortunately it is the best place in town and overpriced for the condition of the facility.
