Very clean

Was traveling back home when a snow storm hit. Decided to book a room for the night. Was fortunate to get a room as most were sold out due to the storm. Arrived around 5 PM to a lobby of at least 15 people checking in or trying to get a room. There was only one person working the front desk and she was working her tail off. She did an amazing job and was very professional, polite and did an exceptional job getting everyone checked in as fast as possible. Room was clean, warm and the bed was very comfortable.

The hotel is under renovations, and they are trying really hard. However, the customer service here is terrible and that's why I say go elsewhere. There was another guest on the floor above us blaring music all night long. We complained many times during the night and nothing changed. The staff claimed they tried to ask him to turn it down but I don't believe them. The music was still blaring when we left at 8 AM the next morning. When I expressed our disappointment (and lack of sleep) with the hotel staff, he literally shrugged his shoulders and told me there was nothing he could do because we booked with the third party site. Not impressed.

Parking with a trailer was inconvenient and disorganized in a side dirt lot.

Excellent

The property is being remodeled. Everything was working normally except the elevator which sometimes shook violently when descending from the 3rd floor. I could hear and feel it from 2 rooms away. They room doors slam very loudly when they close, so I was awakened several times during the night. The barking dogs and crying baby didn't help either. For $50 more than any other property in town, I was hoping for a good night's sleep.

Great staff. Extremely polite and friendly. Very quick check in. Only thing keeping from 5 star across the board was it is still going under renovation. So 4 star for current property. Definitely will stay again. Every time we travel through we stop at Childress Holiday Inn

Comfortable stay. A little difficult to find as you have to drive through Walmart parking lot to get to hotel. The elevator needs service as it was grinding between the 2nd and 3rd floor
