Hyland Motel Van Nuys

I stayed at this hotel for four nights. I parked in the handicapped zone and on the final night a crazy man smashed my car window as well as the glass door of the hotel. There is no insurance and I was not offered any kind of compensation not even one comped night. The bed was super hard and very uncomfortable. The fabric on the chair was stained and dirty and there was no fridge as advertised. There were in other units but not 104. The manager could be nice and then he would get a bit rude.

When you book for 10 days you have to leave on the 6th day and come back I have never heard anything so stupid in my life if you're not going to take a full reservation that you need to indicate that you only work for 6 days also there are no cups in the room they only clean every other day we are from Minnesota and my daughter is in hospice and he would not let me continue to stay there until she passed away

The room was much bigger than I was expecting for such a good deal! The owner was very friendly and we joked around when crossing paths. It's in a nice location. Right by a Starbucks. Close to Universal Studios and a very short trip to the airport. The doors have an unlocking mechanism that doesn't involve the perfect timing of inserting your door key and turning the handle
