Hotel Del Portal San Miguel de Allende

Excelente trato de Lili, super atenta y amable. La habitación le faltaron más tomacorrientes pero por lo demás muy bien y esta super céntrico.

Great location great view great staff

Location was great. Not much else

Booked a room with a king bed based on a couple factors including the fact that the king room is larger than a room with a double bed. King room listed as 323 sq ft while the room with double beds is listed as 269 sq ft. The room I placed in was half the size of the room with double beds. The room was not at all as described. This is false advertising. I paid almost double the price for a room half the size. It at least the size of the room was as advertised I might have left it pass, but there were several other issues. The lights did not work properly in the room. I requested they be fixed, but this was not resolved. It was so dark that I had to leave the doors open to the hallway during the day to be able to see. The bathroom smelled of sewage which made for an unpleasant night of sleep. Furthermore the night manager confided that room 201 is not a good room and he felt very sorry for us having to stay there. I requested a price adjustment and I requested multiple times to speak with the manager. The manager promised they would be there in the morning to discuss. They did not appear. They then promised to call. They did not call. This was a terrible experience.

Very inexpensive and last minute option in a great location in San Miguel. Unfortunately they were doing some construction, and we lost water multiple times during our stay. The staff was super friendly, but I wouldn’t say this was the most reliable option given the issues we had with a primary resource like water. Given the cost though, we weren’t entirely surprised.

Had an amazing stay I loved the view and the staff was exceptional. It does get loud in the mornings since it’s a busy area so keep that in mind. The water would stop running if you didn’t shower quick and hot water as well. It did smell a bit like drainage might be the sink since the water builds and stays in one of the corners. The room was cleaned everyday but you could still see some areas needed a bit more sweeping. Overall, great stay it’s so convenient to everything. We stayed at the master suite and I would recommend this hotel to others.
