Hotel Del Portal San Miguel de Allende

I liked that is was right at the center! We were a 2 min walk from the cathedral, restaurants and shopping.

Everything in walking distance , restaurants, bars, coffee shops, mercado Galleria .A 24 hour convenience store next to the hotel, beautiful view from rooftop.

We didn't get the suite I reserved according to the pictures on booking app, front desk did nothing about it and blamed on the App 😠😞. Shower head, and a little water pressure problems .

Excellent location. Walking distance of everything. Staff is extremely friendly and attentive. However, we were not aware that the hotel is currently under construction. Although we did not spend most of the day at the hotel, it was an inconvenience to go in and out while the workers were busy.

Parking options available but be prepared to walk a block to hotel. Steep stairs, would not recommend for elderly or lots of luggage. Staff great. Undergoing some renos which is nice to see. great roof top patio over square.

As soon as we arrived I realized that the hotel was nothing like the pictures, NOTHING! There was some work being done on it, but that was not the problem. It was so run down and then we got the keys to our rooms…that was the worst part! The rooms were sooooooo old and dingy. The bedspreads were full of stains, the carpet was old and dirty, the seating areas also were run down and full of stains. There was no way we could stay the night there! We spoke with the receptionist and advised her that these conditions were not acceptable and she offered to move us to their sister hotel just around the corner. We left and that hotel was ok. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone!
