I stay at Hampton’s across the country as a choice, but if they were all like the one in Mentor, OH I’d have to rethink my options. 1) my room smelled horrible, very musty, moved to a different room 2) the AC in the 2nd room would make an abrupt sound every time the compressor shut off 3) no dark roast coffee available for breakfast 4) strong smell of pot in the hallways 5) could hear the doors closing from adjacent rooms 6) the breakfast selections were not as plentiful as I’m used to at a Hampton Inn 7) the business center did not have a computer available for guests The hotel staff was great. The location is good.

Awesome location, spacious new room with a comfortable bed. The property was clean and well cared for.

Nice clean, quiet hotel with great breakfast. The beds were a little uncomfortable for me, but that is personal preference.

Everthing and everyone was great. The bed wasn't the most comfortable.

The hotel was newly renovated and that's the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars. We were give an ADA room despite not reserving one online. When we asked for a different room so this could be reserved for someone who needed it, we were told they were "sold out". The room had no hangers for our dresses that we need to hang for an event the next day. The room also had no iron or ironing board. There was no hair dryer in the bathroom. When we called the front desk we were told "they had all been thrown out since several of them weren't working and they had not been replaced". None of this would've been an issue had we not had an event the next day that we needed to be dressed up for. Wish we would've known all this before as we probably would've booked a different hotel.

Enjoyed our stay - check-in was effortless, room was clean and modern, and breakfast was impressive with hot and cold options (waffle maker, eggs, oatmeal, sausage gravy, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc). Workout room had just been renovated and modern and great with a wide variety of workout and exercise equipment.

I guess when I saw 'accessible' that it would be handicap friendly and there would be a walk in shower. There was not and I had a hard time managing the wall of the tub. In the morning, I tried to call the desk and the phone didn't work.
