Porth Avallen Hotel

We loved the location, the views were stunning , it’s also a beautiful building, the beds were very comfy. The food was great and the staff were friendly and charming, couldn’t do enough for you. Perfect location for the Eden Project. Will definitely return.

Excellent location, stunning views, very quiet, comfortable beds. Friendly staff.

The staff were very friendly and easy to talk to. Breakfasts, everything we could hope for. Dinner one night was very good and sufficient. Lounge was comfortable and warm with a beautiful view. (When not raining, not your fault)

We stayed in rooms 17, 18. These were very cold until the electric radiator had time to warm them. The towel rail did not heat up so the bathroom was a little colder than it might have been. It was a very very wet weekend and I was woken up 3 times with the rain hitting the roof. Also, the water pressure was very low and filling the sink did take some time

The views, the evening food, the young lad who served us the evening meal and set up early for us to have coffee before leaving.

Windows didn't close fully, bed was terrible, shower pressure, hot water too far too long to heat, the bedding- could have done with a thicker duvet. It was like sleeping on a shelf with a thin, low quality blanket for a duvet. It was cold, breakfast wasn't great with tiny portions. Hair dryer almost set on fire and room smelt like burning plastic. Strange knocking all night. It wasn't comfortable. Not a lot of security for the property throughout. All in all, even for the money, not a great stay.
