Best Western Plus Tigullio Royal Hotel

The bed was superb, the view gorgeous, the staff at the desk really helpful even when it was full of loud Americans while reception was making a phone call for me, and the staff in the restaurant were brilliant. After the first morning, they had our coffee and tea orders waiting for us - without being asked - when we got back to the table with our breakfast. The only thing that should be considered is the shower in the room. The rooms are spacious but for some reason they have scrimped with the shower. The base is tiny and after it has been filled with a fabulous modern shower, there is only room for a small child. My husband was scalded because he was trying to close the shower door and accidentally tapped the hot water tap. Not enough room to move in any direction.

What a beautiful hotel! The location is perfect, and the rooms are modern, stylish and clean, and have all amenities that are needed. We arrived and were warmly welcomed by Elisabetta who was so nice to us upon arrival! During the whole stay, we were taken care of by both the reception team and the breakfast team, where especially Hanas made sure we had everything we needed. It was simply fantastic! In the breakfast, not only was everything impeccably fresh, including genovese pesto, but also super delicious. Furthermore, the lovely restaurant team was ready to take our coffee orders, serving fresh, delicious barista coffee. Amazing way to start your day! We were seriously amazed with the kindness of every one on the team, and this together with the prime location, beautiful rooms and general cleanliness led to a perfect stay. There is absolutely no doubt that we will be back in Rapallo, which - apart from being a great city in and of itself - is a great base for exploring both Genova and the 5 terre. We enjoyed the shower amenities as well as bathrobes, and whenever we needed anything, the reception team was eager to help us out. I personally got the impression that everyone were not only nice, but actually enjoyed working there, which is not always the case. It joys me to see, because you can really feel it as a guest. Staff were very friendly, welcoming & knowledgeable. Rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard. Rapallo is a central location to Portofino & Cinque Terre.

The location was perfect. We didnt access the beach as the weather was not right for it. It was rainy and umbrellas were available to borrow. Breakfast was good. Room was nice and spacious. We have a view of the ocean. Small shower. Nice ans spacious closet. Drinks at the rooftop are more expensive than at the regular bar and they are expensive already but the service is good. The aperitif is delicious. All and all we like the hotel and would stay there again.

This is nice European hotel by the beach. It has a little rooftop bar where everybody socializes one of the best breakfast buffets we've had in our whole trip to Italy park right in front of the hotel in the parking lot for the bay/pier. It's a 2 to 3 minute walk to the ferry that takes you north to portofino There's lots of nice shops, walking distance in downtown for Resturants provisions wine merchants. Old town of rapallo is very walkable and you'll enjoy the calm comfort more than the smaller towns.

We stayed for 5 nights. Great location, almost on the seafront. A short walk from the station. We were early, so we checked in and left our bags. When we returned, just two hours later, there was a blank expression from the receptionist who had checked us in. Lots of searching, tapping, but eventually they found us. We had booked a room with a partial sea view. It was to the side of the building, with a small balcony, sunny in the mornings. We made much more use of the lovely roof terrace, sunny all day, with full sea views. The room was big, with a large walk-in wardrobe. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Almost looked new. A safe and a fridge. There are electrically operated blackout shutters. Comfortable, large bed. The AC was not operating, though the room was warm. Reception turned off the heating and we left the window open, with the blind slightly open. We were not disturbed by traffic noise on any of the five nights. One odd thing. Apart from the reserve toilet roll when we arrived, no reserve roll was ever provided over the five days. I had to seek out a roll at one stage. This was a first for us! Breakfast was very good. Plenty of choice. High quality fare. The breakfast room staff are excellent. Based on its huge popularity relative to other restaurants and our own experience, Nettuno is the best place to eat in Rapallo.
