SPLENDIDE RIVIERA

Excellent, super location, friendly staff. A bit older room, but spacious. Fastest check in ever - less than two minutes. Nice breakfast - nothing extraordinary but sufficient.

Train trip to rapallo went smoothly and there are bus connections to Genova too. Hotel riveria situated on edge of lovely Promenade but away from traffic. Clean comfortable modern rooms. We had a walk in shower. Air con, sea view with tiny balcony, lift. Adequate breakfast. Found the hotel staff and owners very welcoming. Rapallo sea front suffered a lot of damage in a huge storm Oct 2018 and commune are working to repair it. You can't get a ferry from there but there are various buses and trains. We walked along coast road Santa Margherita Liguria and took ferry to Portofino. Lots of lovely villages to see. Rapallo has certain events planned for summer. Lots of little shops, bars, and restaurants. Eating and drinking can be expensive if you dont look around Have already recommended hotel riveria in Rapallo to all my friends

Der første værelse var ret gammelt, og lige ud til den travle sidegade. Selvom der er tykt glas i vinduerne, var der enormt meget larm. jeg kunne heldigvis få et andet, som lå til den anden side og var mere morderne. ulempen her var brusekabinen. den er hævet og der er ikke noget som stopper vandet, så efter et bad, er hele gulvet vådt. Servicen var fin, og morgenmad var ok.. automat kaffe , kager, yoghurt osv. Til prisen synes jeg hotellet er til den dyre side

I was really happy and thrilled of the location of the hotel. Ocean front property, located in a nice shopping area and banks are really close. The train station is only a 10 min walk away and many restaurants seriously within a few mins from the hotel. The hotel is dated, but clean and well kept. My only issue was the first day of arrival when i inquired about the bathtub I requested when i upgraded to the ocean front/view room. When I arrived, I was told my room did not have a tub and I was a little, okay a lot put out. I asked for another room and the reception clerk told me there were no other rooms with a tub. I asked him the hotel has only one bathtub and I was told yes. Okay... I went to the room and decided to change hotels, but then the reception called and said they have another room with a tub. I did not hesitate to move my belongings to the new room. The rooms were nice and spacious with a fabulous view of the Med Sea. After that encounter with the accommodations of the bathtub, the service was excellent. It is family owned and they do put great effort and pride in maintaining their hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I do not hesitate to recommend this location and hotel. We were able to travel to Genoa, Turin, Cirque Terra, Portofino, Santa Margarita from Rapallo. The restaurant attached to the hotel is a superb. Highly recommend eating there.

We selected Rapallo as our base in the Italian Riviera as it is very close to Genova, Portofino and the Cinque Terre. It worked out to be a great choice - 15 minutes by car to Sta. Margarita Ligure and another 10 minutes to Portofino (buses/trains also available) and 15-minute drive to Levanto/Cinque Terre Card train service (or a 5-minute walk for Rapallo train service to the Cinque Terre). The Hotel Riviera is a great choice, located directly on the piazza overlooking the sea, an just a few steps from the historic town center with restaurants and shops. Our sea-view room was lovely, though with an extra bed (perfect for a small family), a little crowded. The bathroom was clean and well appointed (one note - bring your own shampoo, as none was provided). The staff was very attentive and helpful. We were provided with parking for our car (extra fee, about which we knew in advance) right opposite the hotel. The breakfast buffet was well-stocked and laid out in a sunny room. And there was a great morning market set up along the sea promenade on Thursday morning - with everything from food to housewares and clothing. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay in Rapallo.
