SPLENDIDE RIVIERA

Location of the hotel is great. Right at the quay at the harbor. Lots of restaurants all along there. Away from the water there are plenty of stores of various kinds to buy what you need or what you forgot. Pay parking right across the street (good luck trying to find free parking anywhere around). Ferry is a 3 minute walk. Train station/main bus stop less than 10. Streets are narrow, traffic is tricky, especially if you come in on a Sat afternoon like we did. A GPS would be real useful! Our room was large and comfortable. A bit of street noise but it quieted down at night. Not a big problem. Beds were great. Bathroom was fine, but the shower was pretty small. If you are a big person you won't have a lot of room. No tub. The hotel staff were great. Very friendly and most helpful. Included breakfast was very good. We stayed at Rapallo because of its "central" location for visiting the area. That worked out as planned and this hotel was a great choice for our 4 night stay. We would certainly stay again.

The Hotel Riviera in Rapallo is optimally located in the middle of town and across the street from the waterfront. It's a very well-maintained hotel with an extremely friendly and helpful staff. It's in the middle of the action in Rapallo, steps from the waterfront, restaurants, bars, shops, bakeries, delis...and about a 10 minute walk from the train station. The only negative to consider is because of its location it can be loud from the traffic. But that's Italia!

Beatutiful. I booked for the Junior Suite and the View itself was worth every penny. Splendid service from the team, everyone was so super friendly! We really felt welcome. They gave us tips and suggestions to explore the area, had a day trip to Genoa, Portofino. Building itself was charming. Staying at Hotel Riviera was more like visiting family rather than feeling like a tourist. Love Rapallo, will be visiting again.

This hotel is well located in the center of town. Our room had a beautiful harbor view. Rapallo is a great town near several other gorgeous towns with many shops and restaurants.

For Americans who are looking for a hotel, the Hotel Riviera is a little disappointing. The shower only has the hand-held head which can be difficult to use if you aren't used to it, and the wifi is very spotty, I couldn't get access for most of my stay. The hotel staff was not friendly at all, and the breakfast that was included was not impressive. However, the location of the hotel is great- close to the shore (great view) and in an area with nice restaurants and places to explore. Our main priority was low price when we were looking for a place to stay, so I guess the mediocre quality could be expected.

We loved staying at the hotel. They staff were very friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant one night and it was very good the hotel manager (we think) recommeded a bottle of red which was one of the nicest we have ever had. Rapallo is a nice little town with amazing seafood. We would recommend taking the train to chique-terre and doing the walk along the cliffs to the 5 little towns and also catching the ferry to portofino. The hotel is in and excellent location practically on the waterfront. We would hilghly recommend this hotel.
