Wonderful place to stay and explore the area

Room was modern and clean. Very nice breakfast.

The hotel is about three blocks from the train station which is a downhill walk. Our room was large and comfortable but lacked a balcony which other rooms had. From the hotel, we could walk to any place in the town. Portofino is a short bus ride from town. Don't waste your time with a trip to Portofino as it was a real disappointment. Extremely pricy shopping and what one pays for a glass of wine you can have a bottle in SML. We had delicious dinners at places recommended by local shop owners. We went apartment shopping with a local realtor to see what one could afford on a limited budget...many do not speak English, only the million euro and above. The beach was a short walk from the hotel, rocky but warm Mediterranean waters.

Very good service . Basic simple hotel but adequate as Santa Margherita is not a place you want to be stuck in your room

Hotel was located two blocks from the beach and close to the train, but hotel is an old building and room was dirty with peeling paint and scuff marks all over the walls with an uncomfortable bed.

We did not check that our room was a standard room. Stayed there in 2014 and had a much larger room, which we think was a deluxe, could not get same room as fully booked out. Great location, close to restaurants and water. Easy walking distance to Portofino, Rapallo. Great ferry services for all other sight seeing

The hotel was just back from the main street, with easy access to ferry and train. Comfortable hotel with very nice staff.
