Hotel La Scogliera

Das Personal war extrem bemüht und freundlich, man fühlt sich sehr willkommen. Die Lage ist fußläufig zu Forio, nur eine schmale Straße trennt vom Meer. Es ist angenehm ruhig. Der Poolbereich ist wunderschön angelegt, mit einem großen Rundbecken und einem extra Thermalbecken mit Massagefunktion. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Das Frühstück ist italienisch, die Auswahl an sauren Sachen Eingeschränkt, aber es gibt extra Kaffee zu bestellen und viel Süßes. Leider ist vieles abgepackt. Für die Badeplattform muss man extra zahlen, wenn man eine Liege beansprucht. Wenn man nur über die Plattform ins Meer geht, kostet es nicht extra. Die Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, mit ein bisschen Renovierungsaufwand könnte man vieles schöner machen.

Die ruhige Lage des Hotels direkt am Meer in einer kleinen Bucht mit Blick auf Forio (fußläufig in 15min erreichbar), die Terrasse mit den Liegestühlen über das Ufer gebaut mit breiter Treppe ins tiefe, klare Wasser, die Architektur des Hotels, die gemütliche Ausstattung, der wunderbare, romantische und kühle Innenhof mit Veranda und herrlichen Blumen, gutes Mittagessen, sehr freundliches Personal, der professionellste und charmanteste Rezeptionist, den ich je in einem Hotel angetroffen habe. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

Well located , there was a swimming pool. Nice view.

The housekeeper with short black shoulder-length hair was not friendly. She didn’t change the sheets, and the common area in front of the room was always dirty. She also never brought any shower gel. On top of that, on the last day before my departure, she blocked me as I was heading to the lift in my swimsuit, telling me I wasn’t allowed to wear that outfit. I’m paying for a vacation to feel free and relaxed — not to be judged or restricted. Overall, this was a disappointing and quite shocking experience, especially for a hotel of this category.

Cute hotel with excellent and friendly staff. We were there before the big tourist boom so it was nice and relaxing, and we enjoyed the pool area. It was walking distance into Forio, and also close to nice beaches. I would definitely recommend a stay at La Scogliera!

The people running the place were excellent. Despite an initial mix-up with the number of beds required, the gentleman who booked us in late in the evening did as much as he could to help both with sorting the bed and a late dinner. The rest of the staff over the following days were delightful and most helpful. They strove to make the stay as stress-free and comfortable as possible. All up, a great place to visit as a destination and as a hotel.

There was an assumption that two adults plus a child would be a husband plus a wife plus their child. This was not the case for us (it was me + my adult daughter and my 15 YO son). This meant the bed arrangement upon arrival was not satisfactory despite the Booking.com site saying that a Family Room would contain a double bed plus two bunk beds. Whilst this was not great, they provided two rooms for us for a few days until they could get the bunk bed into the original room - all sorted. The other thing to say is the beds were a little hard - we prefer medium.

The location is excellent, the peace and quiet at the beach was wonderful, even though you have to pay extra for sunbeds and umbrella. The front terrace was very charming, and the staff was very kind especially at the reception!

The hotel is not a four star hotel! Been around the world, and with the best intention, it is 3 stars at most. I was expecting an autchentic charm, but instead we received an outdated time capsule, where it feels nothing has been touched for 20+ years. (When I was in Cyprus 25 years ago, the atmosphere was exactly the same, and it was a then correct 3 star hotel) The breakfast was very limited, the dinner was sad. Our room lighting was on par with hospital lighting ( cold and uninviting), and the shower was so small that we kept hitting ourselves during shower. The toilet was so close to the sohwer that my legs couldn't fit straight, so I had to sit sideways... We bought the sea view room, and even though the view was great, the room was far from inviting and cozy. The four star classification borders on deception...I would not have any problems if I didn't feel cheated because of the classification, and the price would reflect the standard of the hotel

Hotel is lovely. Just like in the pictures. Mineral water pools right at the property is a huge advantage, while the sea is just outside the door. Staff were amazing. Really couldn’t have done any better.

Not that I didn’t like it, but breakfast could be a little better.
