Hotel Rex

Super hotel, just a short walk from the station on the outer edge of the city walls. Great base to explore the city

Muy bien ubicado, a 100 mts de la estación de tren y cerca de todas las atracciones de la ciudad a las que se puede acceder a pie.

Todo bien, el único detalle es que agregaría frutas al desayuno que es muy completo salvo por ese detalle.

This is obviously a family-operated, boutique type hotel. Location, adjacent to the train station was very convenient for a couple in their 70's. We were a short walk from many nice cafes and shops inside the walls. I suffered a foot injury one evening and the staff went out of their way to help me find medical care the next day. They arranged for an in-room medical consultation and later arranged for a cab to get some follow up care. The staff worked very hard to help me resolve my medical issue. Breakfast is quick and convenient. Everything that you need to start your day and cappucinos made to order. The room was clean, roomy and very comfortable. Gelato shop next door and several cafes and restaurants nearby.

Honestly, the one criticism I might offer is that the common areas of the hotel are quite cluttered. There is too much furniture both in the lobby area and on the floors. There is also much clutter in these areas of "stuff" that doesn't seem to have anything to do with the operation of the property. Removing this stuff and decluttering these areas would significantly improve the overall guest experience...which all said was very very positive.

We loved that it was close to the train station as we had a lot of bags and you walk out and Hotel Rex is just outside. Staff are fabulous, breakfast included was very convenient. Hotel Rex suited our budget.

It's not inside the city walls but not a far walk. But the benefit of being inside the city walls is your proximity to cafes and restaurants and shopping. It depends on your preference. We had mobility issues so proximity to train station was handy for us and we walked slowly into city and took a taxi home. But you could definitely do the reverse. Stay inside the walls and take a cab to the train station.
