L'Antico Pozzo

After catching 3 trains to the most local village we were thrilled to be met by our host on the platform who had made a special visit to pick us up as he was concerned about taxi availability on a Sunday afternoon. The hotel was just what we had hoped for - clean, well located and quiet, and the family hospitality was lovely. highly recommended

We didn't even try to drive to the hotel but just parked in a public lot and took in only what we needed. The hotel was very attractive and in a central location. Breakfast had the largest selection of anywhere we stayed in Italy. American coffee was so so but espresso was good. A/C was not very efficient. Our room was reasonably quiet. Overall a good experience!

You can't do better than this. Well located inside the fortress walls. Everything is right outside your door. Staff is very helpful. Moderate price hotel with all the charm you would expect. DEFINITELY would stay here again.

L'Antico is a wonderful spot to roam the town morning noon and night. The set up of rooms is amazing over several floors with delightful terrace to enjoy with a drink and/or book. The family who own and run the hotel will fill you in on the history and organise what you may need. Ask for the local vino bianco, you won't be disappointed.

Situated just inside the walls of this medieval Tuscan village, is a quaint hotel with lovely architecture. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast. Ask front desk about the many tours that are available to nearby vineyards and cities. We enjoyed a Chianti Vineyard dinner close to Sienna. Enjoy the historic community and wonderful restaurants. If driving, Park in lot 3 or 4, take elevator up. Parking video directions on website.

We loved the hotel - the staff were all warm, welcoming & very helpful. Our room was beautiful and the breakfast buffet was fabulous!! We can't wait to return for another visit - the city of San Giminano was a great detonation!!!

Hotel staff was fantastic. Front desk had a great receptionist. She was pleasant and very efficient. Made our stay enjoyable, even though she was only at the front desk! Staff at the dining area were really nice and accommodating. They kept the breakfast buffet area clean but looking beautiful at the same time. They had so many food options at breakfast that most picky eaters would be happy. Also loved the YouTube video the hotel provided us for people that were driving in. Since the hotel is in a ZTL Zone (restricted traffic zone), they reassured us that since we were guests at the hotel, we were safe to drive in to our hotel and drive back out to a parking lot near the perimeter of the walls.
