Albergo Filippeschi

One of the best service I got in Italy. Very hospitable staff, went out of there way to help ,e with parking and bringing in my bags. Definitely will return for another stay.

Seeking a quad room in a prime location was tough. This hotel worked beautifully if you don't mind one daughter on a rollaway bed. Conveniently located, this hotel provided a needed respite from climbing and descending the many hills. The towel warmers also provided a much needed quick dryer for the familiy essentials. Ask for a room facing the Via Filippeschi. The windows opened onto the street to review the action from the comfort of the room. The breakfast was adequate -- the self-serve coffee machines fun to brew a pot for the table. Be careful to get in and out of the town quickly with a car, however, as it is truly a residential town only. Then be prepared to take several staircases or an escalator to get back to the hotel. It is a true HILL TOWN. The lobby is spacious and comfortable to sit and watch fellow travelers enter/exit this cute hotel. The hotel staff was eager to help -- even carried luggage to our second floor room.

A 5 minute stroll to the centre of town Filippeschi was a pleasant place to stay in Orvieto. Our room was very nicely laid out, roomy and comfortable. The style was actually more than we had expected. My only points taken off would be for the breakfast- but it was he standard uninspiring hotel breakfast we found throughout Italy- passable but not particularly memoriable.Overall I would recommend a stay at Filippeschi if visiting Orvieto.

Wonderful location and staff. The room was a very nice size and the bed was very comfortable. Everyone who worked here were very helpful and friendly.

We had a wonderful experience. Our hosts were gracious, welcoming and very nice. Good breakfast buffet, comfortable rooms and the animals at the farm were well taken care of and loved. Took a bike ride along the roads using bikes provided by our hosts and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

If you want to see Orvieto thisis a good place to stay. It's very close to the center of town easy walking to everything Orvieto. Room was nice and clean, staff was nice. Should have stayed a couple more nights and did a little more touring under the city and the area surrounding it. If you're there for the first time drive right up into the the middle of Orvieto, turn left and it's just a few buildings to the left out of the main square. You can unload near the front and then drive on down to the parking.
