Stayed 4 nights in Orvieto. Hotel was friendly, clean and in easy walking distance to sites and restaurants.

Mother and daughter at reception were very helpful and informative. Would recommend.

A beautiful hotel in gorgeous Irvieto. This was my first stop in Italy and set the tone for the remainder of my trip. The staff were very helpful & welcoming. I plan to stay here on my next visit.

The Albergo Filippeschi is well situated in the heart of Orvieto. We arrived by train, took the funicular and then a bus to Piazza Duomo ( one ticket for both rides and 1.30€). The hotel is a ten minutes walk from there and just a few steps off the Piazza della Republica. The lobby is welcoming and the staff friendly and helpful. Our room was large and very comfortable. Toiletries provided and paper slippers. Our room gave unto the street. With the windows open you could really get a feel for local Orvieto life. With the windows closed the room was very quiet. Itslian breakfasts tend to be on the sweet side. The breakfast room was self serve but cereal could be had and you could cook your own hard boiled egg in a little machine. The coffee machine made a variety of different coffees as well as gave hot water for tea. If you need a fix of English TV you won't find it here. There is no elevator. The internet worked very well downstiars but not in the room Wewould recommend the hotel and would stay there again.

We enjoyed the area where the hotel is located. We didn't expect air conditioning, but found that it was difficult to leave the windows open because of the noise of the small but busy road outside of our room. Our fault--we could have asked for a move after the first night. The people were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate. The hairdryer in our room was attached to the wall and the tube the air goes thru would not stay attached! I've seen this before, but not for a while. Loved the city!

Our family of four spent two nights in the beautiful town of Orvietto. This hotel is nicely furnished and the room was spacious enough for all of us. Though our room faced the main street, the windows did their job at providing decent noise suppression from the street noise below. Our bathroom had a few problems with the shower door and the bidet was non-functional. Breakfast was adequate both mornings and the orange juice was fresh squeezed. Staff was helpful when asked but did not go out of their way to offer recommendations for dining or sites to see, but I blame my poor Italian (at best) and their limited English . The hotel is within the ZTL, so do not drive to the hotel unless prior arrangements are made with the front desk. Parking is in a covered public garage south of town and you take multiple escalators to the town level. The walk is about 200 meters from there to the hotel.

It took me quite some time to walk uphill as I have a big luggage. Otherwise, it's good to go around.

This is a really lovely hotel-we had a wonderful room that looked over the street. The beds are very comfortable and the staff is really warm. They have a great breakfast-not to be missed. The rooms are a great size and there is also free wifi:) I would definitely stay here again!

Although this is a smaller town, this hotel was very difficult to find. We drove around multiple times before we found it. Then once we did, we had to find the car park. Another adventure... it was at the bottom of the town and it took 6 escalators and many stair to get back to the level of the town and a rather long walk to the hotel itself. The rooms were fine and breakfast was good.

Our hotel room was perfect for a family of 4, as the room was quite large and the bathroom was not too small. Our 2 daughters were happy they did not have to share a bed, but were given 2 separate beds that were very comfortable (even though one was a cot-style). We stayed 4 nights and the hotel is easily accessible--we were able to return a few times during the day with ease as we toured the city. We found the staff very helpful and willing to make any reservations for local transportation or restaurants we wanted whether during normal business hours or very late at night. The breakfast included eggs you could boil yourself, juice, breads, jams, ham/cheese, and coffees/teas. When we return to Orvieto, this will be our hotel of choice.
