Hotel la Torre

Recently refurbished do clean rooms.

The restaurant/ bar was closed during the day with nowhere to even get a tea / coffee. The gym was separate and next door and charged 16 euros. This SHOULD be free for guests of the 4 star hotel. Aldo the spa facility was next door too and charged a “reduced rate” of €44 for hotel guests for one session. It was ok but didn’t have a jacuzzi and the pool was cold. Also wanted €5 extra for a robe. Ridiculous rip- off prices! No wonder it was practically empty.

23 of us on a Ski group trip 29/1 to 3/2/26. Hotel is comfortable enough but certainly NOT 4* As per their own website : This hotel has a spa and swimming pool. It does NOT!! According to the spa and also to the fairly sour hotel desk staff, the spa is NOT part of the hotel - it costs 48 Euro per DAY - no discount for multiple days - ( even if you only want to swim) less a whole 10% for guests! I was really looking forward to the pool after skiing each day and was very disappointed to find this out and made my feelings clear, but no one interested. Also very lacking in information in the rooms with no phone to reception, wifi code, shuttle bus times, hotel info etc and nothing in the room except 2 tiny shower gel bottles and 2 of the cheapest possible plastic cups. We asked for glasses for the room but the bar manager was horrified and the grumpy restaurant manager was so cross about me taking 2 tumblers from the restaurant that I think he wanted to punch me! I offered to buy them and he said No and when I set them on the bar and told him to keep them he told me to take them!! All in all not impressed and if it was totally renovated late 2025, I really would NOT have wanted to be there before that!

Loved the property. Rooms nicely renovated and ours had great view. Excellent staff, super friendly and Leonado helped us when our hire car broke down.

The breakfast was good and the room quite large and comfortable.

We had problems driving up to the resort from Turin as a result of a blizzard. The rental company had not given us snow socks for the tyres and we were essentially stranded on an icy mountain road 4,5km from the hotel at 11.30pm. When we called the hotel to try to get help (maybe they could send someone or arrange a taxi), we were told to call back after 5 minutes. We did so and there was no answer when someone picked up 20 minutes later, we were effectively told to call a cab or sort it out ourselves. I know this is not strictly the responsibility of a hotel but it is not the way I would I expect or want to be looked after, given the dangers and risks involved with being stranded in a blizzard at night on a mountain road. Instead we were helped by a passing group of young Italian guys who were able to fashion snow chains for our wheels.

La posizione dell'hotel è ottima, volendo si potrebbe andare a piedi fino agli impianti di risalita ma ancor più comodo l'uso della navetta, veloce e molto frequente. La vista dalla nostra camera era spettacolare. Colazione e cena superlative.

Il letto matrimoniale era composto da due letti singoli non perfettamente uniti. Pochi prodotti da bagno e nessun posto dove appoggiarli mentre si fa la doccia. Sarebbe stato bello avere la possibilità di fare il tè in camera.

La posizione in paese e la struttura con spazi ampi. La cucina buona a colazione e cena

In primis il personale della reception poco disponibile a risolvere qualsiasi difficoltà e davvero poco gentile. Le informazioni fuorvianti sia su Booking che sul sito dell’hotel,dove sembrerebbe che la spa con piscina faccia parte della struttura mentre è all’esterno ed è a pagamento (tra l’altro i bambini non possono accedere alla piscina dopo le 14, molto scomodo visto che di solito la mattina si è impegnati nello sciare). Le family room sono su due piani collegate da una scala a chiocciola decisamente scomoda per dei bambini (con il bagno al piano superiore). Il raggiungimento delle piste non è affatto semplice in quanto il bus trasportino dell’hotel non raggiunge tutte le partenze e siamo stati costretti a pagare un surplus giornaliero con turni anche ristretti (dalle 11,30 alle 13,30). Anche per gli spostamenti non siamo stati minimamente aiutati dall’hotel ma abbiamo dovuto fare tutto in autonomia con diverse difficoltà, non conoscendo la zona. Abbiamo avuto problemi anche con la vetusta serratura della porta che si è bloccata diverse volte.
