Hotel Pupetto

We had a top notch experience here! After hiking the via Francigena for 3 weeks and 260 miles, we chose to treat ourselves and rest in Positano at Hotel Pupetto. It did not disappoint! Call ahead for bag porter from the uphill road (Positano has no car friendly roads to hotels.) The room was spacious, clean and comfortable at sea level. Our bed had a foam topper, so nice after weeks of Italian hard mattresses. We loved the beach, although a typical rocky European beach, it was refreshing. But the meals were amazing! A pizza made with zucchini cream as sauce and zucchini chips on top of luxurious cheese - divine. Dinner included a surprise gratis scallop appetizer on a pumpkin sauce and dessert was topped with a gratis platter of sweet treats!!! The receptionist gave great advice on the ferries, which often get cancelled for weather, and on hikes. We appreciate that this hotel/restaurant/beach club is at the quiet north end of Positano. It’s a fairly easy walk to the southern end with loud music, touristy restaurants and lots of shopportunities. Just be prepared for Italian indifference everywhere in Italy: know some Italian words, they speak a lot of English, but service is often cool and efficient, not cozy and chummy. It’s all good!!!

My wife and I came here for our honeymoon. We had a wonderful experience. Staff is friendly and helpful. The view from our room was gorgeous. Hotel restaurant is excellent. Short and easy walk into the main town. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Positano!

Beds need an upgrade, too hard

We were very happy with our stay here; it's wonderful to be right on the water and the hotel offers everything you need. The room was always very clean and cleaned daily. The hotel staff is also so helpful with fast responses and arranging porters to help with your luggage. Loved our stay here and will be back.
