Gounod Hotel

Very nice property. Room was spacious and very clean.

Everything fine except the room was too dark.

There is nowhere to keep your water, medications, or other items cold. The refrigerators in the room was room temperature. They said it would be repaired and it wasn’t. They offered us their fridge and then another staff disciplined us for using it. It was an okay stay, but I wouldn’t recommend it to friends.

イベントのため5泊しましたがとても素晴らしいホテルでした。 部屋や水回りは清潔、重厚感ある建物ですが古さは感じられませんでした。毎日ベッドメイキングもしてもらえます。 シャワーは水量も温度も問題なく日本にいる時と同じくらい快適でした。 感動したのが朝食です。 品数は多くありませんが美しく飾り付けされ、オムレツなど卵料理も作ってもらえます。 飲料水はレセプションに給水機があります。 マイナス点は、シャワーをうまく浴びないと床がびしょびしょになる、ホテルの出入り口に数段の階段がありスーツケースを、持っていると大変なことくらいでしょうか。 立地ですが、ニースヴィル駅まで徒歩10分、ジャンメドサン通りまで徒歩15分くらいです。繁華街ではないので夜は静かでした。 バス停が近く、結構便利だったので１日券を買って旧市街までバスで行っていました。 海沿いの方に少し歩くと、カフェやフルーツジュース屋さん、小さいカルフールがあり便利です。

This is an excellent hotel, a bit more pricey than I normally stay in but worth the extra. It is a short walk to the train station but still near the restaurants and shops near Grimaldi. The reception staff were all very welcoming and helpful. I did not like the fluffy chairs in reception as they gave the place a tacky look. The photo must be the old chairs. Also they are very keen on not wasting resources but don't provide hooks in the bathroom for wet towels, unless you count on the radiator right next to the toilet bowl or where they hung the dressing gowns. A very pleasant room with a balcony.
