I had an amazing stay at Gounod Hotel! The rooms were spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean, with a wonderful balcony. The staff went above and beyond to make sure my experience was exceptional, always friendly and helpful. The Hotel Gounod is in the perfect location to stay in Nice. The beach is a few short blocks away, the train station is also a few blocks away in the opposite direction. Plenty of restaurants and shopping in walking distance. Old Nice is close as well. This hotel is beautiful. It is a small hotel (like a boutique hotel) but the guest rooms are very spacious, clean and nicely appointed. Loved that we could use the pool/jacuzzi and rooftop bar at the hotel next door as well!

Hôtel was lovely, and the benefits from the sister hotel were perfect to be able to use the pool and facilities. I did stay on the first floor however and the car park was quite loud so get a higher room if you plan to use the balcony! Only very minor niggle was someone had put some champagne and wine on my room and they tried to charge me at checkout. I reassured them I didn’t order anything except one thing from the mini bar. They seemed to accept it but then overcharge me for what I had consumed from the mini bar. It was minor so not worth bothering with but a shame at the end of a nice stay.
