Palazzo Starace

Good location in Sorrento, close to the main square and port for a day trip to Capri.

There room is no ready for winter. There weren't any duvets just very old blankets and the bathroom did not have any heating. Staff were not very responsive and did not see anyone during the stay and there wasn't the option for breakfast. It was noisy from the main street.

The room was super clean, pretty, super central (more central than this you really can't get). We had a balcony overlooking the picturesque shopping street with orange trees. We slept very well, the beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean, the AC worked (for heat and cold) and you have a water boiler and cups in the room. The host Luciana was very welcoming and kind. I would defo stay here in again, in exactly the same room (book the Superior room with balcony, you won't regret it).

This is NOT a negative point, but just FYI: the place has no elevator. This might be challenging for people with reduced mobility. The 3 flights of stairs were absolutely NO problem for us (and for most of the people it wouldn't be). DO NOTE: despite no elevator, you DONT NEED TO CARRY YOUR LUGGAGE UP! There is a mechanic basket where you can put your luggage in and you can hoist it automatically up to your floor. This is however not suited for people. Honestly, this basket was actually a pretty cool and authentic experience. It's part of Italy's charm.

Das Zimmer war swhr schön eingerichtet und sauber. Der Blick vom Balkon auf die Einkaufsstraße war perfekt zum frühstücken. Alles war schnell erreichbar. Wir konnten auch nach dem Auschecken unsere Sachen noch einen Tag im Hotel lassen.

La posizione della struttura era centralissima a due passi dalla piazzetta centrale, camera ampia luminosa e pulita

Assenza di ascensore e stanze ubicate nei piani alti del palazzo. Presenza di due materassi singoli che componevano uno matrimoniale che complice l’assenza del copri materasso o di lenzuola adatte, si separavano al centro e di notte ti trovavi a dormire sul materasso direttamente per via della lenzuola che si spostavano subito appena ti giravi.

At night that first night it was awfully noisy- There was some work and deliveries done and the commotion was all night!!! We kept hearing ppl working and talking all night

Loved the proximity to restaurants and shops. Walkable to port, busses and train as well. Very clean room and bathroom.

There is a club close by. Some noise between 3-4am as people were leaving Friday and Saturday nights.
