Outstanding hotel with amazing food and great service. Peaceful location. Excellent value, 5 star experience for a 4 star price .

Very pleasant stay here. We've never been to a Valentin Hotel before. Wasn't sure what to expect but was nicely surprised. We found the food really good with lots of choice. Breakfast selection was excellent. For us anyway. The pool was ok but couldn't really get a good swim in it. The room was lovely, we were in a silver room with a whirlpool bath. One tip would be..don't put shower gel in while it's filling up or you have to use the bin to scoop the suds out..it's in a good location for a walk down to the beach. Pool towels actually fit the sun beds and they're free..no deposit. The staff are all friendly and very smart in their uniforms. We would definitely stay again if we return to Paguera.

One of the best hotels i have ever stayed in. The hospitality was amazing, the food was amazing something for everyone.

Location 5 minutes from main area, so it was peaceful but accessible, wiew to the mountains one side and a partial view of the sea. Atmosphere chilled and sophisticated, warm and welcoming vibe. Signature scent to the hotel was gorgeous. Beautiful furnishings, driftwood sculptures, fantastic chill zone in reception. Then you get blown away by the Beautiful terraces. Space for everyone, so stylish!! The staff could not have been more helpful, all of them. Food choice was superb, cleanliness top notch, rooms tasteful and neutral. Free water and sweets on the room. Shower!! Bliss!! Ricky was so so helpful, an absolute delight and ambassador for your beautiful hotel. Thank you! Definitely coming back soon.

Just returned from a lovely relaxed 7 days at this adult only hotel we were very impressed with the friendly staff nothing was to much bother the hotel it self is spotlessly clean the food was excellent a good variety at breakfast and evening meal also have food theme nights thoroughly recommend this hotel

We have just returned from a fantastic week at the Valentin Somni and wanted to share how appreciative we are for such a pleasant stay. Hospitality We were greeted with friendly staff and a complementary glass of cava on check-in, which was a nice touch. The staff were kind and helpful (too many to name but in particular Max and Cristian in the buffet restaurant and also the two ladies who organised the evening entertainment). I celebrated a birthday during our trip and I was very surprised to have been presented with a complementary birthday cake and bottle of cava at breakfast. This was a very kind gesture and completely unexpected! Rooms We stayed in a Deluxe Double room and found the space suitable for our needs during our 1-week stay. We see that some people have mentioned space and storage being limited in their reviews but did not have any particular issue with this. There were a number of hangers in an open wardrobe, 2 drawers, and plenty of shelf space around the room. We did not find the bathroom layout (separate toilet and shower cubicles surrounded by glass panels with sink in the bedroom itself) to be an issue as there were curtains to separate the bathroom area from the bedroom area. The only issue we faced with the shower was that it did leak a small amount of water into the room as the shower is level with the floor and not in a shower tray. We had a lovely view of the mountains and palm trees from the large balcony area, which was very sunny and warm in the late afternoon and great for drying our swimwear. Cleanliness We found the hotel extremely clean (both our room and also the hotel communal areas). We had our room cleaned twice by the cleaners during our stay, which included the bed being changed once and towel replacement twice. The hotel seems to be very big on being eco-friendly and conscious about water use and it was good to see reminders about whether a towel actually needed to be replaced, in the interests of the environment. Food We found the food to be of excellent quality and there was a great variety of options. Throughout our stay we experienced a number of evening meal themes, such as international, Mexican, and Italian. One evening featured a fresh sushi stall alongside the buffet. We preferred some of the nights over others (due to personal taste preferences) but even on nights that we enjoyed less, there was still plenty we could eat. The desserts were varied and included offerings of ice cream, fresh fruit, flan, cake / torte, cheesecake, and sweets. We were impressed with the options for breakfast, which included meats and cheeses, cooked breakfast, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, and pastries. There was also an area where food was freshly cooked (some to order), which included pancakes, omelettes, and cheese and ham toasties. Juices and hot drinks were included at breakfast. The waiting staff were attentive and made sure that you had drinks on arrival. Drinks in the restaurant were more limited than the options in the bar but all reasonably priced (approximately 4€ for a beer, 3€ for a soft drink). It was nice that there was a large outdoor seating area, which we opted for most mornings and evenings, with dedicated waiting staff to look after guests outside. We were also impressed with the hotel offering a light breakfast before our early airport transfer on departure - this was available outside of the buffet’s normal opening hours. Bar We used the bar several times throughout our stay. We note from other reviews that the bar was said to be expensive, but we think these prices are very similar (if not cheaper, for some drinks) to those in Paguera itself. The bar looks almost as if it should be in a fancy restaurant and not part of a hotel as it is decorated to a high standard and offers a range of drinks. We found the drinks on draught (beer and cider) a little more expensive than in Paguera but cocktails (Hugo Spritz) was considerably cheaper. We enjoyed drinks by the pool and also in the bar area to listen to the entertainment. Swimming Pool The pool was smaller than we expected but it was very clean and there was plenty of space around it with sunbeds and chairs and tables. We visited the pool area late afternoon on a number of days throughout our trip and always found a sunbed with ease. The pool bar was closed during our stay, so we cannot comment on that, but the main hotel bar is very close to purchase drinks so this was not a problem. We are aware that there are 2 other pools (one with a separate accommodation block and one on a roof terrace) but we did not use these. Swimming pool towels are included free of charge but incur a 1€ replacement fee which we think is reasonable. Entertainment We joined two of the outside evening entertainment events (Acrobatics and Elton John tribute) and throughly enjoyed these. Both events lasted between 45 - 60 minutes and were very impressive, particularly given that they do not come at an extra cost. Guests were offered blankets to use whilst at the outside events as the evenings became a little cooler, which was also another nice touch. Location The hotel was in an excellent location, no more than a 5 - 10 minute walk down to Palmira beach and the shops, restaurants, and bars of Paguera. There is a LIDL about a 15 minute walk from the hotel and a number of bus stops nearby (we found ‘Talaia’ to be the closest) for easy access to Palma and Port Andratx. One of the entertainment events from a nearby hotel was very loud on one particular night until about 22:30 (we could hear this in our room with the door shut) but we had no further issues with this so it was not a particular problem. Overall Comment We were a bit hesitant about visiting an adults-only resort for the first time (particularly as a young couple) but it is clear that this resort attracts a range of ages! We really enjoyed our stay at the Valentin Somni and are considering returning next year or to another Valentin resort as we were so impressed. Thank you to all at the Valentin Somni!

Excellent week spent in an adult only hotel. The food was first class. Good value for money. The catering, hospitality and service staff were helpful and always had a smile. On the Second last day the staff held an unscheduled ‘white event’ providing white tee shirts and caps. The event consisted of free food, entertainment and meeting the staff. Our holiday was relaxing and enjoyable.
