Hotel Rosamar & Spa

Mixed feelings about this hotel. Pros: - great location, beachfront - there is one heated pool - comfy bed - good breakfast (tasty sausage, pancakes, churros, bread etc) Cons: - terrible dinners - very limited amount of meat, on Thursday it was only ribs and some fajita (and some fish as far as I remember). Too much peas, beans, pasta; desserts aren't good. Very disappointed. I wouldn't book half board again. Worst hotel when it comes to dinners that we've ever been. - some reception staff were excellent, others could be more welcoming and polite - evening entertainment wasn't great - we went on 4 days (one exception was flamenco show- it was excellent!) All in all - yes for location and pools, breakfast is ok. Big NO for dinners.

First of all I would like to thank rosamar spa hotel for their help and understanding. The room we were in was too small for us and they went out of their way to accommodate us. The staff are very friendly. The food was very good and fresh. Thanks for your help.

We are family of four had great time at Lloret del Mar. This our 2nd time in the area but 1st in this hotel. Location of the hotel is excellent. We had a half-board stay. Breakfast and dinner menu ticketed all the boxes! Room was spacious and beds comfortable. Indoor swimming pool was a great hit with kids. Spa was just few metters down the corridor and sauna had the right temperature! Evening shows very entertaining enough to make as laugh and kids go dancing.

Just spent a week at the hotel and all we can say is… great! Just don’t go expecting a luxury 4 or 5-star experience — this place is exactly what you'd hope for considering the price. Some people expect way too much without wanting to pay for it. If you're after a luxurious holiday, be ready to pay luxury prices. Simple as that. For us, the hotel actually exceeded our expectations. It’s perfectly located, clean, and overall hassle-free. The staff were excellent from start to finish — friendly, helpful, and always approachable. We arrived just after midnight and they had a small snack waiting for us, just as we requested. The first room we received was a bit tight for the three of us, but when we asked kindly the next morning, the reception staff quickly arranged a different room. It wasn’t necessarily bigger, but it suited us better — and the process was smooth and pleasant. The cleaning staff were also lovely and clearly worked hard to keep everything tidy and fresh. Tip: be kind and polite — the team is there to help you enjoy your stay, not to deal with negativity. As for the food and drinks, we were fully satisfied. We're not fussy eaters, but there was always something tasty and fresh to choose from at each meal. The variety may not be endless, but it’s definitely enough to keep you happy and well-fed during your stay. And let’s not forget the bean-to-cup coffee machines — they were a highlight for us! If you're ever in the mood for a change, there are also plenty of places to eat nearby, so options are never a problem. The pool areas were great too. Plenty of sunbeds around — maybe not always right by the pool, but we never had an issue finding one (though, to be fair, it wasn’t peak season yet). All in all, five stars from us. We got what we paid for and even more. Relax, smile, and enjoy your holiday. And if you’ve got anger issues… maybe just stay home!

A superb hotel in a fantastic location. The staff are always friendly and helpful and hotel is clean. Just had breakfast there and although it's the same every day there's loads of choice. Highly recommend Rosamar Hotel and Spa, definitely set a return visit

Ok so just home from a week at the Rosamar spa in costa brava. I don’t think 4* superior is accurate and would maybe go with 3 . Starting with the bad - the room was very very basic, white walls and bedding , no decor in the way of throws , cushions , pictures etc . There was a very small desk and one plastic chair to sit on . Mini fridge doesn’t include any items in the all inclusive . The air con didn’t take the room temperature below 22degrees at all during the week so was very warm to sleep in . The all inclusive package allows 1 bottle of water each , the size of a small ‘fruit shoot’ bottle , and must be collected from the bar between 9pm and 11pm only . The huge ice cream selection and crepes are the first thing you see when you enter the pool bar , these are not included in the all inclusive. The all inclusive ice creams are in a corner in a very small freezer with 3 different choices of ice poles or lolly’s only . The indoor heated salt water pool - absolutely freezing cold . The meals , as a lot of people mention, the food temperatures were low , to the point that by the time you sat back down all the food on the plate was cold . The only food that catered to smaller children was the fries on offer every evening . Pudding were very much the same every day at lunch and dinner and the same again the next day . Very little variety at all . Most of the food was fish based , so great if you are a seafood fan . The first fresh fruit we tried was a bunch of grapes , which didn’t realise until we sat down had a massive spider nest of webs in , so clearly hadn’t been washed before service . The good points - reception staff were fantastic, and for £60 euros arranged the room to have a cake and helium balloons for my son’s 16th birthday . The spa , although very small with only 2 rooms was very clean and was included in the all inclusive price - however take your own towels or you have to pay £15 euros in cash only to hire a towel per person . That’s about it for an honest review , I definitely wouldn’t choose to go back to this particular hotel .

We really enjoyed our 11 night stay at this hotel. It is very clean, and very spacious. It over looks the beach and is right by lots of lovely restaurants and bars. The staff are lovely and work really hard. There was a range of entertainment; magic shows, singers and the flamenco dancers were incredible. The variety of dishes at both lunch and dinner was amazing. I’ve never been to anywhere with so many vegetarian, fish and meat dishes. I don’t eat pork so I thought in Spain my options would be limited but I felt truly spoilt. Some of my family stayed in another hotel and they paid to eat at the hotel’s restaurant and were taken aback by the choice and the tastiness of the food. The only thing that let it down was that the food wasn’t very hot and sometimes cold (there is a microwave but when you’ve got salad on your plate as well this isn’t ideal.) We had a family room at the back of the hotel and we appreciated the space especially with a baby and thus a pram, baby cot etc. When booking the holiday I arranged with the travel agents for a travel cot to be in our room but they told us we wouldn’t know until we got there. I emailed the hotel and was surprised when they replied immediately (we know the Spanish can be slow!) to say they could confirm we would have one. This took so much stress away from us and we were delighted. However, the room was right next to a building with a tin roof so the nights when it rained (hard) we couldn’t sleep which wasn’t ideal especially the final night when we were due to be picked up at 6am. On the other hand, our other family members who stayed in the hotel were at the other side and their room over looked the adults area which was lovely with a huge terrace! The spa and gym facilities were a nice touch to the all inclusive. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for families because the children entertainment is at another hotel and thus you’d miss out on all inclusive. Also, there’s no option to eat outside by the pool. So if you have children you would need to dry them off, change them to take them into the restaurant for snacks. However, for adults this hotel is really, really lovely. And you can walk down to the main strip in 15- 20 minutes.

Worst hotel ever. Was at this hotel for a week in September. There is no way it’s a 4 star be lucky to get 3 and that would be at a push. Checked in no problem was giving key card but had to find our own way to the rooms. How are guests meant to know where the rooms are behind the rooms thankfully a cleaner showed us. The room was clean and spacious except the double bed was two beds pushed together maybe that’s what a double bed is in Spain? Went down to the pool bar staff we rude and spent more time on their phone than serving guests. As this was the only bar available to all inclusive guest except for the cafe which was available between 9pm and 11pm. All inclusive drinks we disgusting the cocktails were warm and out of a machine tasted nothing like any cocktails I have ever had. You would of thought the would of been mixed by hand considering their was 3 staff on all day. They couldn’t even be bothered to talk to the guests. The pool bar was terrible no atmosphere at all. They could of put a speaker system outside and put on some music for guest as their was nothing else to do during the day. The effort from pool staff to engage with guest was nil. Nice big area could of had some poolside games or games in the pool. The daytime sports were terrible who wants go on holiday and do sit ups or Zumba. This hotel could invest in a table tennis table or a net or goals and a ball for pool entertainment. The food was Luke warm and when I asked staff about it I was shown a microwave to heat it up. The so called night time entertainment was awful 100 plus guests put in a dancehall with no air conditioning it was warmer than the saunas. So called entertainment was only on for an hour starting at 9:45 pm. Bingo, some Argentinian thing and flamenco dancing. No disco, singers or karaoke. Ask if we could use other hotels of the same names facilities and was told we wasn’t. I would advice anyone looking to book this hotel in the future to go somewhere else unless you want a week of drinks that are warmer than the food. Worst holiday experience ever. Rude and disrespectful staff who you would of thought we on their holidays.

We spent 2 weeks at this hotel via Jet2 from Bristol. Transfer into Lloret was about 40 minutes, although took a little longer to get to our hotel. The hotel is situated on the sea front, facing the beach. We were welcomed by Reception who quickly booked us into our room on the second floor with a large terrace, containing two sunbeds, table and chairs, overlooking two of the three pools, the beach and sea, (not all rooms have a terrace and sunbeds). Our bed was very comfortable. There was a large wardrobe with shelves and safe, bedside tables, chair and desk, fridge and TV with BBC and ITV channels. The main pool has a shallow children’s pool attached with three gentle slides, ideal for young children. The adjoining pool has a gentle slope with handrails. There is a further pool in the adults ‘chill out area’ with sun and Bali beds. Adjoining it is a further extensive sunbathing deck with ample sunbeds, Bali beds, reclining chairs and tables and chairs, with lovely views over the beach, seafront and beach. There is also a further sheltered sea water pool which is under cover. We stayed All Inclusive. The choice of food was extensive. The salad bar was wonderful with a wide range of choice which varied daily, including cold meat and sausage selection. As well as prepared hot buffet dishes, freshly grilled meat and fish was cooked to order. Two choices of pizza were available daily, as were different pasta dishes. Vegetarian options were always available with a wide choice. We had a lovely holiday, customer service was excellent. Reserving of sunbeds was discouraged, but there are so many we never had a problem of finding one of our choice. We met many guests who return year after year, and could see why.
